Master Of Daleks by Loneanimator Master Of Daleks by Loneanimator
John Scott Martin is probably the most famous of the classic era Doctor Who Dalek operators. A part of his enduring fame might have something to do with his impressive mop of hair, which seemed to grow more and more voluminous as the years passed.

Nice of you to give a little credit to all the people who helped the show become a hit.

Well, they were really creative people beating the odds (sometimes failing). I have the highest respect for them, and I love reading about their behind-the-scenes adventures.

Yes, many behind the scenes anecdotes are wonderful in illuminating the trials and the marvelous solutions to bringing the film story to life.

If only Davros had been this kindly old fellow, galactic history might have been very different.

Never before have I ever wondered what a hybrid between the Doctor and a Dalek might look like, but now we know! (Honestly, it's no wonder Davros became an outstandingly rotten sapient being, with such a clearly-superior alternative to bear a festering grudge against).:D (Big Grin)

Well, Davros is at least a poor competitor in the hair department.

Martin looks exactly like the sort of fellow who embodied the fun, whimsical Doctor Who spirit. Heck, the man looks like he would have made a good Time Lord. Clap I like how you keep honoring those behind-the-scene artists who made movies and shows like Doctor Who work. :) (Smile)

These stalwart people are my greatest heroes :)
You can also see Martin as a pirate in Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life" (the "Crimson Permanent Insurance" segment) and as a homeless person in "The Little Shop of Horrors" (the musical movie).
