In Continued Support of Ukraine

The war in Ukraine continues to impact people across eastern Europe and the rest of the world, and in this time of crisis, we want to help the community harness creativity to show support for one another. In our last journal about the war, we shared a list of organizations to support the people of Ukraine. This follow-up journal includes an updated list of organizations and resources to help Ukraine, as well as art created by deviants in support of Ukraine and its people. How to Maintain Support for Ukrainians United24 Launched by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, this is considered the main venue for collecting charitable donations in support of Ukraine. Protecting Art IRL: Protect Pop-Up Art Gallery

A Milestone For Digital Art 🎨 A few weeks ago, DeviantArt hosted the DeviantArt Protect Pop-Up Gallery in our Los Angeles offices. The first real-world gallery for both Web2 and Web3 artists featuring only art safeguarded by DeviantArt Protect held everything from traditional paintings to sculptures, photographs, and 3-dimensional artwork. The local art community, including deviants @Ladowska, @Firefly-Path, @kaycemDA, and many more, attended to celebrate art and our common goal of a safer internet for artists. Our Curators 🤝 Moonlight Arts Collective founder Jen DiSisto showcased traditional art, including work from Melissa Villaseñor, artist and comedian on Saturday Night Live, and @brandonboyd, painter, songwriter, and lead singer of Incubus. Eric Spivak, the founder of New Friendship Tech and Web3 community leader, curated digital works ranging from the striking photography of Vince Fraser to eye-catching 3D renders from Suki Violet Su. Mary Lai showcased works from her

Wrapping Up LightBox 2022

DeviantArt had an amazing and artistic adventure at LightBox Expo this past weekend, and we’re excited to share some of our favorite moments! (DeviantArt Staff ( @nicedayJules, @MattInRealLife, @ggMattB, and @scrubfiend) at the Expo) Changing Landscape of Digital Art We were thrilled to host the “Changing Landscape of Digital Art” panel at LightBox, moderated by our very own @nicedayjules. Here are some highlights from the event! Speaking on the panel were some amazing industry experts (and familiar faces) including Karla Ortiz, @loish, @bosslogic, and @ubermonster. Despite having various points of view on the future of digital art, we had a wonderful and engaging conversation among peers. Leave your thoughts on the ever-changing world of digital art in the comments below! Right Up Our Alley It's always wonderful catching up with artists at conventions. Here are some of the lovely people we saw while out and about in Artists Alley. Do you spot any of your favorite
