New Submission LIVE!

That right there, is a nice simple screenshot of the nice simple all new simple as pie smooth sweet silky goodness known as the all new revamped submission process that was spoken about here yesterday!

And within minutes, NAY, seconds of its launch, we had the first submission to utilize it from Dubtiger and the first deviant to check out the new resizing feature was Jaszczurka! Enjoy your 3 month subscriptions for making your mark in this bit of DA history!

And now, rather than keep you stuck here reading this news article, I will keep it short and sweet, like the new submission process itself ( sorry I couldn't resist saying it one more time ;) ) and let you guys go out and Submit some art!

Enjoy! And also, a big round of applause to randomduck and mudimba for all their hard work on this! And give yourselves a hand for all your suggestions that went to shaping this project!

You guys are great. :D That's such an unnecessary thing to say, especially on an old announcement, but I just have to: you're awesome! ^_^

I just wanted you to know that I love the site! Thanks for putting so much work into it--it definitely shows!!

New submission process certainly LOOKS shiny, but unfortunately I am unable to actually submit art... I have been trying all day, and tried different options, but still no luck. I even shut down and restarted my computer, thinking it might be a problem at my end, but to no avail. Help?

Ok, I'm not annoyed anymore. After seeing what *inchworm had to say I uploaded Firefox and it seems pretty kickass. Thanks, *inchworm! Anyway, Can anyone tell me why when I submit my new deviation I can't just click on the thumbnail to bring up the full size image? I CAN download it but that's not what I want... help please!I'l almost happy with the new submission form... almost.

i gotta say this, the old dA 4,was good enough for the most..
it was simple and understood, possibly to work more over users who don't has support in Active X controllers..
but on the other hand dA 5,has lots of new features which does make the difference, though its really hard to experience the new system as its being all "new".. :hmm:

so its a problem, also because its brand new system its generates unexpected bugs,i suggest that you should try the most of the new features offline or in an experimental online area, like in a LAN connection computers(which will have an isolated copy of dA web source for testing it through LAN which is almost like online connection for the simulate),before you put it live.
this way you might figure some of the bugs before they happens, but not sure, its better that you would hire testers for that experimental area thing i talked about,so the already existing galleries wont have faults of losing their deviations or stuff like that, otherwise use allot of backups drives in case for a critical bug appearance..
you should be prepare before the accident. that what I'm suggesting you to do.
good luck! :D

How do I get my submissions to show in my gallery?? They uploaded o. k. and can be found if I search hard enough thru the categories but how can I keep track of them that way?
I suppose someone spent a lot of time on the new "easier?" submission system and I appreciate the effort but the old way worked better in my view!

I was upset with it at first too, coz loading the images took very long, and the window often didn't show up at all (error..). If you want to find your work quickly, use the "Search" prompt. :) Mine didn't show up till another day.
I liked the old system better.

love the new process, but for some reason my recent deviations aren't showing up on my gallery. I have to search for them first. What am I doing wrong?! The first one I did worked out fine, but the other three are lost in DA space! Help?!

This is running very slowly for me, much slower then the old process. It's taking forever to upload the file into the box, and if I try to delete the file from the box, I can't upload anything else without going back to my page/the front page/whatever and starting again.

And, same as everyone else, things aren't showing up in my gallery for several hours.

On the other hand, it's nice to have the deviation right there while you're writing your comments, and I do like the resize option.

But ARGH. It's still running painfully slowly for me.

New process is much slower than usual, and my deviations aren't showing up in my gallery or elsewhere. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!

Well, it's broke now, so what do I gotta do? My print account isn't working either. Not good!
