If Aria could have known Carita’s thoughts when they’d headed back from the forest she probably would have realized that the titan wasn’t super comfortable with whatever was about to happen, and probably wouldn’t really know how to handle what was about to be asked of her, but Aria couldn’t have known that so it took seeing the slight discomfort on Carita’s face to know she wasn’t exactly thrilled to be asked to hold her pose. Osiris had insisted though and it seemed that Carita didn’t really know how to turn him down politely and so was had found herself stuck here.
“Perfect, you’re doing great.” Osiris said as he leaned around his easel. Aria had been a little confused by his strange tools at first, a large wooden frame he used to hold parchment or even sometimes thicker blank leather like material stretched over a wooden frame that he’d called canvas. Even now Aria was fascinated by the contraction he had strapped to his forepaw, a leather covering that allowed him to hold writing
They entered her forest under mist, the early morning sun doing very little to pierce the thick dimness of the forest and therefore doing even less to banish the clinging mist. Carita watched from a distance as the pair moved, a floppy eared titan leading a younger felvarg, her head seemingly weighed down by a large glowing scythe like horn that sprouted from her head. It was a windy day on the Island of Ulfrheim, the sound of it whistled in Darius’ ears as he did his best to keep up with his quarry. Now normally that actually wouldn’t have been an issue. Of course not. Bears were big and tended to lumber around with about as much grace as a rock hurled into a pottery shop, but with the wind blowing his scent towards the great beast Darius had to make sure he was hanging further back from his prey than he normally would have, having to rely on the visual signs of the bear’s passage more than on his nose or than by literally watching the beast.
But Darius was determined to take home his prize today, he’d been tracking the bear for a while now. The creature was a hulking beast, coarse brown fur crisscrossed with scars that told of its long hard life. Honestly Darius was a little sad about what he would probably be bringing to a close soon. But the bear was clearly growing old and stiff with age and had been encroaching closer and closer on the
The day started as it would any other. Darius stretched and rolled in his den, wiggling on the floor and giving himself a nice little dirt bath. The sun was pushing its way into his den, early morning had already passed the the young pup was having a lazy morning. He decided it was probably time to get up, definitely not helped along by the fact his stomach was starting to ache for food. So probably time for breakfast then. Darius rolled to his feet, shook the excess dirt from his pelt and stepped out into the sunlight, stretching as he felt the warmth of the day wash over him.
He yawned and then pale blues opened to the late morning, taking in the pale color of the sky and the vibrant greens of the life around him. A light breeze blew through the trees, pushing fluffy clouds across the sky. It was going to be a nice day, perfect for exploring or discovering something new!
That thought was interrupted by Darius’ stomach protesting loudly. Breakfast first then! It was an easy enough
