War, Love and Friendship
Night had fallen, and all the neighbourhood kids were gone. Michelle and Vanessa, who were sleeping over, were sitting on the swing set, talking quietly, staring at Nalani's retreating form. The latter came to sit next to Kuzon and Kiran, out of the girl's earshot.
'Okay, I asked them to give us a minute,' she said quickly.
They looked back at the two girls who were giggling loudly in between whispered conversations.
'So, I guess you told them?' Kuzon asked Nalani, avoiding her eyes.
'What?' Nalani said hesitantly, 'No, they jus- Nevermind that, it's not what I'm here to talk about.'
She glanced quickly at her friend
Muggles and Benders
Kiran and the two redheaded boys, Steven and Henry McGill, were climbing around the playhouse. The boys' little sister, Anya, was being pushed on the swing set by Emily. Carl Kasthurirangan, the Indian boy, sat at the small garden table with his Game Boy while his sister, Cindy, was gushing over Nalani's outfit.
'I love your outfit. Is this traditional clothing in your country?' she asked, touching the rich fabric.
Nalani showed off her flowing, detached sleeves. 'Yeah, we usually wear it for birthdays and important holidays.'
'It's so beautiful! Oh, you've even got makeup on, it's pretty. And you have to show me how t
Dragons, Snakes and Lions
Nalani and Kiran looked around the shop. They looked at each other with wide eyes. They thought everything in the shop was extremely old fashioned, even though they were dressed in traditional clothing at the moment. Kiran was told to wait in the browsing area, while Draco and Nalani were brought to the back for fitting. While they were both being fitted, a small boy with messy, black hair and emerald coloured eyes, entered the shop. He was skinny and his clothes were awfully large. Madam Malkin started pinning the boy's robes.
'Hullo,' Draco greeted the other boy, 'Hogwarts too?'
'Yes,' the small boy answered.
Benders and Wizards
Two wide green eyes stared out the window impatiently, while a finger twisted a lock of black hair.
A young girl, who looked like she was somewhere between twelve and fourteen years old, was leaning against the kitchen window, waiting for something.
Her hair was curly, thick and black, but soft and appeared unnaturally tidy. It fell past her shoulders and past her waist. She had a very petite frame and a delicate figure with just a hint of starting puberty.
As she looked at the sky, she thought of her life. What it used to be, what it became, and what it was now. The girl was Nalani, Princess and rightful Heir to the Fire
Nalani snuck into her parent's bedroom while her mother was taking her shower. Her father was in the kitchen, preparing breakfast. She sat at her mother's vanity and pulled the makeup case towards her. She finished putting on makeup just as her mother got out of the bathroom. Nalani turned around and smiled. Huhana tried to cover her smile with her hand, and held in a snicker.
'Oh, my sweet Little Flame,' she said, trying very hard not to laugh.
Nalani looked back in the mirror. She didn't understand what she did wrong. Her face looked slightly awkward, even a little creepy, but she'd seen her mother put on makeup a hundred times.
'Ron quickly looked at both kids in front of him with red ears. He looked like he was trying to decide what to tell them. Finally, he blurted out rapidly to both of them. 'That was wicked! Are you really Harry Potter?'
Harry nodded. Then they had what Nalani thought was the most uncomfortable exchange, where Harry showed Ron his scar and Ron stared in awe. Then Harry asked Ron if all his family were wizards, and after Ron answered, he turned towards Nalani. 'And you?' he asked.
'I'd say half are wizards and half are crazy,' Nalani answered with a snort.
Harry and Ron looked at her with curiosity and confusion in their eyes. She
So, I decided to try this thing where every month, on my website, I do a little summary of all the things I worked on, and I decided to also copy that same post here as my journal, but I just decided this now, so it's late compared to the one on my website.. oh well... Also, Most of the drawings are posted here, so I'll just put the images of my WIPs. For August, I'm starting with a summary of the whole summer.
This summer is kind of a weird phase for me because I'm in a sort of testing phase. I'm trying things out. I've finally found a way of organising my things that sort of agrees with my brain, and I'm starting to be a litt

So I've uploaded a whole bunch of things, and I'll be uploading more in the coming week .
Thank you for understanding!
