Where the rubber meets the road

Matt had struggled to find decent work after leaving the military. It was all entry level. His experience as a military police officer lent itself towards policing, but not much else. Police jobs could take months to process.

At a garden party, his neighbour Lindsey chatted him up. His close protection experience interested her. She was divorcing. Her husband's business attracted some unsavoury competition and she would feel better with more of a bodyguard driving the kids to school. The only hangup was that her ex husband was a jealous man and any male employee would not last long. Could he disguise himself as a woman? The kids might find a she easier to relate to. The pay would make the trouble worthwhile.

He'd said no, but 4k a cheque was nothing to sneeze at. Lindsey had him go to a warehouse in the industrial part of town and he was fitted for prosthetic breasts and tried on many wigs. The employees gave him lots of reading material about how to look and act, plus how to care for all the new....equipment.

They had Matt come back the next day, as his female persona. She was impressive with a crisp suit and cravat, but when she was offered a hand, she froze. He hadn't picked a girl named. The drag queen on staff excitedly suggested many names until "Madison" came up. It was a very common name, close enough to his that he'd react.

Madison started the school run right away. Lindsey's kids were well mannered and it seemed no one was following them. Her ex had shaken her hand one day he'd taken them to his house. Said he was glad Lindsey had finally hired someone who knew how ton work. Suddenly one day, Lindsey pulled Madi aside. "He knows...I fucked up and put your name on the invoice. He's, hauling me into court. The judge wants to meet Madison." Matt's face turned a bit white.

Court as it turned out, was nothing to worry about. It was a tolerant state. A veteran working under a female alias, based largely on the poor attitude of Lindsey's ex husband, was not a concern. The judge denied the exs petition. Matt continued to work as Madison for the time being. It just felt more comfortable.
