It was 1973. The rumours in the upper crust of San Diego were troubling at best. A "transvestite" was targeting men for distraction thefts, then hitting them financially. Pickpocketing, cheque fraud, it was all on the table.

Norm was that transvestite. From an apartment not far from downtown, he planned move after move. Wigs lined a shelf in the closet. Today he was at a very average club, putting the moves on Arthur, some kind of financial manager. Norm said his name was Desiree and after talking the clearly frustrated Arthur into a state of lusty distraction, he slipped his chequebook right out of his pocket. When they were really distracted, he'd just take a few cheques and put them back. Arthur wasn't quite that drunk or clueless, so the whole book it was. Fifteen minutes later, Desiree had to call it a night. A kiss on the cheek and a "see you around sometime" was the end.

The next day was the victory lap. "Mrs. Arthur Kyle" took to Beverly Hills, sporting a short blonde wig and a suit previously purchased on a similar trip. He bought a few new items, plus the wig for the next disguise.

Soon he was "Mona" trolling at the clubhouse of a local country club.

Later, his masterpiece to date, "Deanna" a voluptuous redhead accompanying a prominent LA lawyer to a garden party on Santa Catalina Island. Norm could get used to this disguise.
