I haven't ever been a Beta Tester, simply because I prefer the little * next to my username, rather than the =. But it does actually look quite cool next to the double l of my user. That, and these new userpages are cool and distract me from revision.
Christmas was alright, as was New Year's, though the actual countdown to New Year's itself was pretty epic. None of us realised that it was almost midnight, and so we were all on Facebook laughing at stupid photos. Then someone switches the TV on and goes, 'eek, it's ten seconds to midnight!' Cue lots of panicked blustering and pouring of champagne. It was pretty funny.
2008 was an alright yea
It was my 18th a few days ago, which was pretty cool. Got some interesting presents, and I'm planning to have a sleepover/piss-up this coming weekend. A bunch of us went to see a band called The Faint in Brighton, and they were epically good. And PhoenixSparrow (https://www.deviantart.com/phoenixsparrow) (whose birthday it was also) and I went to see the comedian, Ed Bryne, last night. That, too, was brilliant.
I don't feel particularly mature, though. I'm assuming it's not exactly an automatic thing anyway- you're 18, BOOM, you now have more responsibility yet at the same time are probably more lax than ever- and that it doesn't work like that. Yet, there is that expectation tha
