I haven't ever been a Beta Tester, simply because I prefer the little * next to my username, rather than the =. But it does actually look quite cool next to the double l of my user. That, and these new userpages are cool and distract me from revision.
Christmas was alright, as was New Year's, though the actual countdown to New Year's itself was pretty epic. None of us realised that it was almost midnight, and so we were all on Facebook laughing at stupid photos. Then someone switches the TV on and goes, 'eek, it's ten seconds to midnight!' Cue lots of panicked blustering and pouring of champagne. It was pretty funny.
2008 was an alright year. Good for travel, bad for schoolwork, but that's always the way. New Year Resolutions for 2009? Erm, get off teh internetz. And work. Which is clearly what I'm doing. Right now. Plus I've just realised that I'm actually applying to university this year. Yes yes, I'm late, but shush. The whole process just seems so exciting (though I do tend to get overexcited about little things, so that might explain it). I guess it's just the idea of living away from home for the first time, and the need for wherever it is I'm going to be perfect, which is an unhealthy way of looking at things, but ah well. I sort of know what I'm doing in my gap year, but where exactly I'm travelling to is still a bit uncertain, aside from going to America with PhoenixSparrow
. My heart was set on going to Nepal for two weeks, but it's so expensive for the length of time that I'm wondering whether it's worth just going somewhere a bit closer to home to volunteer. Ideas, anyone?
Eugh, got exams to cram for now. And a driving test at the end of January. Wahey! Oh, and by the way, this is awesome- www.starterupsteve.com/swf/str…
