As I walked into the cinema to see the most shamed movie of the year, a creation hated by children and reviewers alike, I tried to clear all sceptical thoughts from my mind. I tried to block the opinion of the entire world. I tried to keep an open mind, to forget that this was a movie which had come from the director of Lady in the Water. I tried to think happy, positive thoughts.
The Last Airbender is the latest movie which has been unleashed by director M Night Shyamalan onto the public. This movie is a very rare, special thing. Why? Because it has achieved the seemingly impossible: it has inspired hate in everyone- and I mean everyone. Eager five year olds will walk out of the cinema with disbelief on their tiny faces. Reviewers will be whipping out phones and trying to cram as many degrading notes as they can into their electronic devices, while adolescents will fall into giggling fits of hysteria as they reflect upon the corny lines and the ridiculous acting.
