I found it on Google Search initially. You might not be able to find it anymore.

Absolutely awesome.
The only thing wrong with it is that Darksteel Colossus is a rare, not a mythic. :3

When Darksteel Colossus was re-released in the core set, he was made a mythic rare. That is why I utilized that rarity here. Glad you like it though.

I didn't get Scars/Besieged so I wouldn't have known anyway. :/
That's quite lucky, actually. It's pretty cool you have that.

Thanks, but I was being silly. You can do that with just the set editor though?

Absolutely, it does old style cards (Pre Eighth Edition), Current Style Cards, Extended Art Cards, Textless Promo Cards, Flip Cards(Kamigawa Style, not Innistrad), Level Cards, and even creature tokens. You input the data, pictures, and symbol. Only thing is symbols for the set editor are hard to find. If you want to give it a shot, google Magic Set Editor.

I actually have the program. Used it to create Dresden Files planeswalkers. Did you know you can make your own symbols?

I do know that you can make your own symbols. It's just annoying to do in personal opinion.

This card was created with the Magic Set Editor. The extended art itself was shown at Comic-Con 2009. I just used it to make an extended art card with the program. I am sorry, but I do not make proxies. If you can find osmebody who can make proxies, I'll give them the data they need and they can make one for you.

Seeing this guy makes my Ravager hungry for Summoner's Eggs on turn four... with a Lightning Greaves in play. But the full art is amazing... This would make a great full-art card.

Nice combo. I never thought of using that to cast a Colossus without paying it's converted mana cost. Copper Gnomes I always thought would be a fun, effective way to do so on turn four, but your way works as well.

It's nice to meet a fellow 'Johnny' player, as from where I'm from, the majority of players are 'Timmy' style players, and the few that aren't are 'Spike' style players; there really aren't any 'Johnny' style players in my area.

I just don't understand why the artwork for this card was cropped in final production for Darksteel. It lacks the emphasis of how large the colossus actually is. That is why when I found the full-size artwork that was displayed at Comic Con 2009, I made this card with the Magic Set Editor, because the full art does look nice. I doubt Wizards will see this page, but it would be nice if they just would release this card as an extended art promo (and if they would release it, as a foil).

Seriously. I love wacky combos that work. But this art is a big deal for me, because seeing his legs does really add to scale of the picture. And I'm definitely more "Johnny" than "Timmy" or "Spike," but I read the books and mythos like "Vorthos." I do show aspects of all of them, with the 30+ decks I own. I've been playing since Invasion block, and even delved hard into Masques block because I loved the books.

And my friends in the room with me agree about the extended promo idea. "If they actually listened..." one of them said.

That is true what your friend said. If they would actually listen, but as long as they're making money in the ways they want to, they won't.

30+ Decks, wow, lol. That is amazing. People complained to me that I have seven, lol, it would be nice for them to meet you. I'm also glad to hear that your friends like the extended art :) .

Ya know, Wizards should totally release this as a promo card or something, a full art darksteel colossus would be something I'd totally buy.

Agreed as I would too :). They released the full artwork at Comic-Con 2009, but why not release an extended art card with the full artwork? Make it foil as well :).

I think just about every full at card is foil, I can't think of many that aren't.

anyways agreed, totally shoulda made it a promo.

Or...

Maybe wizards should start doing that in packs, for example take some of the mythics and add a handful of full art, possibly alternate are, versions of the cards in the packs, kinda like a treasure in the pack. So for example Darksteel Colossus, platinam angel, blightsteel colossus, any of the new 'swords of' cards, et cetera could have cool full art versions out there.

I have to agree with you. It really sucks that full alternate art are usually Judge, or DCI Promos.

I do have the art to the five common Myrs from both Mirrodin and the nmew Scars of Mirrodin (Iron, Gold, Copper, Leaden, and Silver) as the set artworks are different (personally, I like the Mirrodin artworks better than the Scars of Mirrodin artworks for these myr), however, I believe the art you see on the Myrs are already full size, although the program I use can use that as an extended art. Just let me know if you want any Myr made.

The Darksteel Colossus Full Art I was just fortunate enough to find. I applied the art to an extended art style card, and here is the result.

I'm glad to meet another person who started with the Mirrodin Block cards, as I did as well, in 2002 I believe with Mirrodin. So you have a Grixis color theme artifact deck? Very interesting, as I havent come across a player who used such a deck yet. It was always Red and Blue, Black and Blue, or Black and Red for multicolored artifact decks. I have a Red Artifact deck that is completely foiled out that uses nothing but combo mechanics that fit so well together that even if I can't infinite loop(Damage, life, and Myr Tokens. Damage with Goblin Bombardment and Feedback Bolt, Life with Scrapheap, and Myr Tokens with Genesis Chamber)(Which I don't rely on unless I'm playing a mono-red burn deck as I hate them so much), I can scrap and salvage my way out of a lot, lol, which is why I named my deck Scrap 'N Salvage. You wouldn't mind me asking more in depth how your deck runs as it is the first of it's kind that I have seen?

A Red and green Arcbound? You wouldn't be using dismantle with Darksteel Reactor, would you, lol? That milling esper deck sounds rather interesting, as I never seen a deck like that before.

nope. the r/g uses arcbounds and elementals from ravnica, in a nasty beatdown fashion.

The milling esper is wicked nasty. a traumatize, scalplexis...lots of dimir related too.

I ha dto ask about the red/green counter deck, because anybody else who played them (Including myself in the past) would have that. They would wait until the reactor had ten counters, and then cast Dismantle. Granted Dismantle doesn't destroy the reactor, because it's indestructible, but the second ability then goes and you place that many more counters on it and win. Sounds like you have yet another original deck here :).

The Milling Esper sounds original itself as you ahve a white aspect to it in addition to black and blue. You wouldn't be pulling the old ol Path to Exile-Archive Trap combo, would you?

attack mill for the esper. i attack and/or tap and they mill. 3 oblivion rings add the defense and a few creatures are cheap walls (vedalken ghoul, wall of denial) and theres also ALOT of landcyclers to keep speed.

Mana prduction with the creatures and the spells act as guards to them. the point is to get either Memnarch, Mishra (preferred) or a beast of burden out to protect the many myr i have so that a collossus can appear and win it. The myr are the small cheap cards i have going for me, like sarcomite and alpha, for easy attacks with 2 each of iron and lead and a silver for mana. Myr matrix aids them for durability and a darksteel forge keeps up my many artifacts. Alara, Ravnica and Mirrodin are the backbone.

I'm working on a rainbow myr exclusive deck for scars, with white being the dominant. I only play legacy so i'll be using a forge in this one as well. so many nice myr in this set, i care less for the rest...

I'm happy to also find another individual who appreciates Vintage and Legacy Formats. Most people I play with, all they want to do is standard, and they really don't want me playing with my decks when they play standard, so from time to time, I'm left out. I also get ridiculed for using Scrublands, Savannahs, and Tundras, as people say they are a wasted investment and that I should just use painlands or M11 Dual lands instead. The oringinal dual colored lands were great, because they were both land types that the colors would produce (Ex Tundra is an Island Plains), they gave you a choice of two types of mana that you could use with the cost of life if used, entering the battlefield tapped, or remaining tapped for the next turn if used, and they entered the battlefield untapped.

I have quite a handful of decks and they're all what is considered legacy format. I have a green-white enchantment pure defense deck, a black-white anti-creature deck, a blue-white counter control deck, a red-artifact scrap and salvage deck, a revised version of the World Championship deck CMU Blue(For those pesky red burn decks), a black-white Voodoo deck, and a mono blue 'time' themed deck that uses suspend, phasing, and vanishing mechanics.

I can appreciate myr decks(As that was the first deck I started with), and I can appreciate them a lot more when they are vintage or legacy, so I can honestly say I like you idea on that. Do you use Mycosyth Lattice to turn all permanents into artfacts in addition ot their other types? I do this with the forge in my red and artifact deck, and cast Shatterstorm for a lot of fun :), and it's something that you might appreciate. I do like they way your deck is meant to work, as it reminds me of my first myr deck :) .

I second you on your comment, it's just that Wizards of the Coast and Richard Garfield cut the artwork down to what you see on the printed card :( . It would be nice to have them release an extended art promo with the full artwork (Like what I did with the Magic Set Editor).

The cropped artwork used on the Darksteel, M10, and M11 offical variants doesn't exactly give you an idea of how big the colossus actually is, and when you see the full artwork, you get a feel for how huge it actually is.

Thank you for the fave by the way :) .
