Progression by Littlelion225 Progression by Littlelion225
I'm a country boy at heart, and grew up on a run down old farm in the middle of Nebraska. I then became "citified", as I moved on from that life. Every great once and a while, I come across something that takes me back to the days when I grew up. When things were simple. When progress came at the expense of hard work. And when that work really meant something. Now to explain this picture....well, on the edge of my town is a dirt road that really isn't well known and is hardly used at all. It winds through trees, and follows the train tracks, and finally winds through and finally comes to an old abandoned farmstead. I came across this barrier that must mark the border of that property. On that property are these old run down buildings, of which I have pictures as well. I thought to myself that time progresses, leaving things forgotten, but if we look hard enough, we can find the small things that will take us back to those moments that we enjoyed while growing up. In finding that bit of history, I felt that in our progress with industry, maybe we are worse off, as we no longer come to appreciate the small things.
