While driving around the many curves of Custer park in the Black Hills national forest, my friend and I happened upon a suprise. Around a curve, a stampede of Bison happened appeared around the curve, and some of the little critters happened to be even running on the highway. I was shocked, and terrified at the same time, as I had this mental image of my poor ol car getting smashed by a rampaging buffalo. So, I quickly popped the car into reverse, and backed far enough away that the critters had time to see my vehicle. I stopped, then took many a photograph. These creatures were magnificent.
