Description

[UPDATE] I'm gonna reupload this sometime soon, mostly to do some minor fixes with missing meshes and some BIG texture fixes for the plants that should help them be less laggy. Keep an eye out for it. ^^ [/UPDATE]

Hey guess what?
I'm a goblin and it turns out that I really like making meshes.

Wanna help an amateur mesh-maker improve *and* get, like, 30 free meshes in the process?
Yes, I'm pretty sure there's around or almost 30!
You're in luck!
These are free, and this pack will probably be updated throughout the end of the year.

Included are four (4) different packs:
[Dens Pack]
Lots of burrows, logs, rocks, and other stuff you'd expect. Some of these are similar to build set pieces, because they need to be placed over a hole in mapmaker to look right
[Build Sets]
Experimental meshes meant to be used to enhance the look of territory. ex: those paw-printed cliff faces are in the build sets, and they're good at hiding fh's default stretched-pattern, blocky cliffsides. Most of these have the side that isn't meant to be exposed left open (cuts down on vertices/polygons/whatevs)
[Plants]
Marigold, nettle, etc. Most of these are just retextured planes, but I made that catnip mesh myself in blender over the course of like 4 hours and I am pretty proud of how it turned out. <3
[Waters]
I've always disliked how it's impossible to make water look like it's flowing quickly in FH. I took it as a challenge, and tried my best to fix that by texturing up some rapids. These should be placed just above the surface of rivers/streams. I think they look nice if the rippling water never rises above the mesh, but that's just my personal opinion. Do whatever feels right. You can see some animated previews of the waters pack here:

BY DOWNLOADING THIS MESH PACK, YOU ARE AGREEING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THESE MESHES ARE STILL IN TESTING.
- Some of the older meshes aren't quite as pretty, and that's because I've improved quite a lot since January 2017. :D
- Lag may or may not occur on weak computers, but my private testers have said that the meshes aren't more laggy than standard FH meshes.
- If you encounter any bugs (odd shading, missing textures, not exporting in mapmaker, etc), please note me so I can try to fix them!

Additionally, I will post an important snippet from the README file, because I know people don't usually read them:
To install this pack, place the files in the folders named accordingly, and you should be all good. ^^

IMPORTANT THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND:
- Some of these material files contain coding for textures that are not included in this pack (usually either belonging to something that was extremely experimental and too broken to publish, or something that is super old and not up to quality standards). If you find them, I would not recommend attempting to load them in your game.

- Most of these meshes are not recolorable. I would not recommend trying to do so unless you have a photo editing program and know how to texture UV maps. If you want to try to recolor a mesh anyway, ask me for the UV. I may still have it.

- The mountain meshes have been reported as not exporting. I suspect that it has to do with attempting to place the mesh out-of-bounds in mapmaker, but I am still investigating this issue myself.

Have fun
