Does anyone have any questions for me or my characters? You won't know if you don't ask. xD

To Dusty: The magical show you host, do you actually own it, or did someone approach you to work on it.

Dusty, "Ooo no I don't own it. The show belongs to a friend of mine, who thought up the idea. I agreed as soon as she told me about it - hosting a wish show sounded like too much fun to turn down. I'm not too sure what she would have done if I hadn't said yes though." xD

I have a question for you :) What made you pick a moth for your main character, if that's the right term? She's very cute, of course, and I've always been a fan of moth-related art, so I don't mean anything negative by asking~

I knew I wanted her to be a genie, as it would give her a lot of fun ways to be cheeky. Instead of having a generic genie design, though, I thought it would be more interesting to have her based off an actual creature. I kind of flicked through a couple of ideas, but none of them really suited.
While I was thinking about it I remembered a character based off a moth that I'd worked on with a friend before. I realised that a moth really suited the character - small and cute, but also easily annoying to the point where it's often unwanted. It's ultimately where the name came from too, as her design is sort of based off a Dust moth :)

Ah, that's a very interesting bit of inspiration :) It's always fun to hear about the backstory behind the creation of a character~

Creating characters is always fun. The more I know about them, the easier it is to write their dialogue and actions. :)

I completely agree :) I love writing backstories for characters, even if they're only a one-time character in a commission. I find it helps a lot with making them seem more like people rather than just one-dimensional cutouts.

Yes yes yes. It's so nice to talk to a writer who agrees! So many people don't realise how much better things go from actually planning xD

Absolutely, I feel the same way :D Getting readers invested in the characters is what I strive for, whether those characters have 2,000 words or 20,000. I'm really glad to hear you're of a similar mind, and if you don't mind me saying so, your stories really shine for it~

Yaay it's so refreshing to talk to someone with a similar view. And thanks so much, dialogue is something I used to really struggle with, so it means a lot to hear that things are improving :)
