Ooh, the headpiece isn't very clear here...maybe I'll submit one of the photos that it's clearer in. But anyway, my BFF did all of the detail work on the headpiece! (She did it in exchange for the Patamon plushie I made for her~) We used Fimo polymer clay in silver and there are about 5 large separate pieces hot-glued onto a plastic headband, with a few smaller pieces connecting them (we needed something that would be flexible enough). Unfortunately, the headband was cheap plastic and snapped in half right before I did this photoshoot! Though I suppose it had already been through a lot of abuse so it shouldn't be very surprising...this was not the first convention it went to. XD;; In this photo all the pieces are bobbypinned to my head. I'm trying to think of a better way to attach all the pieces for next time--either find a sturdier headband, or I was considering using a number of small hair combs, considering how well just bobbypins seemed to work...
