Princess Garnet costume by lithele Princess Garnet costume by lithele
Another photo that I really like of this costume. (probably because you can't see my face XD) My Princess Garnet costume, from FF9, photo by Aya Mizu at Anime Expo 2006. I love the atmosphere and color of this photo; it's not touched up in photoshop at all, it was just a great shot at a pretty location. I love my Aya-onee~~

I'm really proud of how I managed to make a strapless/partially backless dress! You can really see that here.

It's really a beautiful photo and a beautiful costume, congratulations! Final Fantasy 9 was not my favourite, but I liked Dagga with this dress ^^ (my favourite Final Fantasy was the 7 and the 6 ;))

I used this pic to drawn something, you can see it in my gallery. It's called "The hope". I hope you will like it :)

Ooh, the headpiece isn't very clear here...maybe I'll submit one of the photos that it's clearer in. But anyway, my BFF did all of the detail work on the headpiece! (She did it in exchange for the Patamon plushie I made for her~) We used Fimo polymer clay in silver and there are about 5 large separate pieces hot-glued onto a plastic headband, with a few smaller pieces connecting them (we needed something that would be flexible enough). Unfortunately, the headband was cheap plastic and snapped in half right before I did this photoshoot! Though I suppose it had already been through a lot of abuse so it shouldn't be very surprising...this was not the first convention it went to. XD;; In this photo all the pieces are bobbypinned to my head. I'm trying to think of a better way to attach all the pieces for next time--either find a sturdier headband, or I was considering using a number of small hair combs, considering how well just bobbypins seemed to work... Anyway, if you want to know anything else feel free to ask!! I think I'll upload one of the photos with the headband closeup. =)
