I like the fuzzyness of the shirt.

As mentioned some time ago, I've found this damn impressive--I really like, in particular, the line-shading you did on the skin/cloth.

Thanks! I figured I was getting kind of pen-happy there, but it's been kind of cool to see that people like it.

I like this style. Very clean, and the scratched shadows with color is neat.

An interesting style! Looks like a page directly out of a comic book! Good anatomy, even though the thumb is indeed a bit short (but it's not disturbing to the image though).

I would like to hear more details on how this was done and what techniques where applied. Is this a scanned original or done in the computer from scratch? Was a reference used? I really like those shadows, where they done by hand or using some digital effect?

Good one, at any rate!

Everything that's black was first drawn in pencil and then inked with the super duper gel pen I use at work. All of the coloring was done in photoshop.

With his skin I used an airbrushing tool in photoshop and then messed with the opacity until it looked right. I did this mainly because my tool was set to airbrush and it took me an ungodly amount of time to get it back.

Once I figured out that switching brush-types meant that I could still safely switch back I played around with the granite tool and whatnot for coloring his clothes. The background was me screwing with pointillism and blurs.

I didn't have a reference in front of me because I did it during class and at work, but I used a picture of Isshin Kurosaki to figure out how the hell I should draw a man who wasn't superbishounen but still in-keeping with an anime-ish style.

My what a pretty boy, and that smile too. I like the lined areas for the shading and the cocky expression tis cool. I am impressed with the hand. Good stuff! *High five*

Thanks for that! I was a little iffy on the thumb, and I'm still not sure if I like the proportions of it. I feel like the tip joint isn't long enough, and like the middle bit should be longer.

But all in all, I've made peace with this one. It's good to see that you liked it! Ake's a good kid. *thumbs up*
