Recently I made a decision that I never thought was possible: I quit my day job to pursue my dreams of becoming a full time photographer.
Sounds crazy right? Still does to me, haha.
Six years ago up until now, I had been working for a southeastern based grocery chain, Publix: where shopping is a pleasure,
but not so much for working. It was an easy job that paid the bills and helped start up my FenyxDesign, so it wasnt all that bad. However, I was so used to getting a regular paycheck every week that making the transition to becoming a self employed photographer was a very scary idea. I attempted to take on photography jobs while working full time, but it was very difficult to manage FenyxDesign when I spent 40 hours of my life at a grocery store. Many people who had started out in photography around the same time I did had already become locally known and were constantly improving, but they relied on this talent for their income.
