The Trap

More of me geeking out to japanese prints. I revisited one of my favorite subjects (mysterious she devil and skeletons) and just ran with it.

I was influenced by Taiso Yoshitoshi and his woodblock print series of 36 Ghosts.

A common element in his work is that alot of the ghosts or demons were only truly visible in shadows or reflections. It gives the works a rather subtle and surreal effect and I decided to play with that idea.

Anyways, technical details : sketched in Photoshop, lines 'inked' in Illustrator and coloring and clean up on PS

Also used ~ericsalvi 's parchment pattern for the paper on the window
