I am 70years old and a widower retired from the ministry and partly retired from the art industry. Fan and collector of animated movies (over 300!) as well as a large collection of cartoons. I especially like Warner Brothers, and Jay Ward's cartoons.
Experienced painter of still life rocks and "happy little trees" next to a creek. Free-lance Photographer. Partly retired, and taking the time to do what I've always wanted to do; write, write, write.
I am an author and currently compiling a series of Young Teen Anthromorphic fantasy novels. (Think, Brian Jacques and C.S. Lewis). Also, a YA Sci-Fi novel reminiscent of Heinlein's Starship Troopers.
I play jazz tenor sax and am a member of a community concert band and a swing band, hence the name "LipsterLeo".
My primary language is English, but I speak high school German, a little Thai, some Korean, a bit of pigin Vietnamese, a smattering of French, and I am studying Spanish. I can be fluently misunderstood in seven foreign languages, including English and Texan.
Be warned, I have a weird sense of humor!

"I told you to keep up your right. Your other right, numbnutz!
I had a Maverick. Loved the car. Kinda like a grown up pinto, with a stock 6-banger and more room. They also had one with a small block V-8.
But they have come out with a new Bronco, about the same size as the original, but with decent suspension.
But you, poor simple fool, are not cool!
Back in the '90s I used to own an F150. I traded it in for an early '20's Ranger p/u. Small, light, nimble. I loved it! 4-banger, 4 speed tranny.
I went in to the Ford dealership on a whim this weekend. I couldn't spot the Rangers. They looked as big as the F150's. The F-150's looked like Mack trucks.
Reminds me of what Ford did to the old Broncos and Thunderbirds. Fat, Fat, FAT!
So now they have come out with the new Bronco because folks don't like the Explorer, which has grown as big as a full-sized p/u.
And have you seen the new Mustang SUV? OMG! Gaack! Ford's new Edsel. But I guess they want to keep up with the Porsche and Maserati SUV's. Didn't those used to be sports cars?
Did they have to happen? Was there no way out? Was there a right side and wrong side?
I'm not saying it's easy. Putting the other person first is something that must be learned through practice. Humans don't like to swallow their pride. But I know of a lot of couples happily married for 40-50-60 years. It can be done.
