Kujenga's Pride Lands Birthday

Wrote a short for my birthday. Just basic fun.

*Scene opens in the Pride Lands. It's been a long time since Kujenga and her friends last came to end the War of Scar. Since 2019, the Island Guard barely comes to visit the Pride Lands despite most of the team members being born there with the exception of Fredryka being from the UK. Kion, Rani and their friends are awaiting at Pride Rock. Even Amani is there*

Kujenga: Kion! *Runs towards them with her friends* Guys!

Kion: Kujenga! Glad you could make it!

Rani: *Smiles* Happy birthday, Kujenga.

Kujenga: *Dips her head respectfully, even her friends bow to her and Kion* Asante, Rani. Thank you.

Amani: Ready to spend your birthday in the Pride Lands, Kujenga? After all, this is where you, Romar, Octa and Bakari came from.

Kujenga: I sure am!

Bakari: So what do we wanna do first? *Romar has a baobab fruit in his front paws as he spins it like a basketball*

Romar: I got an idea. Why don't we play Baobab Ball?

Kujenga: Ooh, excellent choice!

Kion: Now we're talking!

*Kujenga and her friends run across the Pride Lands playing Baobab Ball. This mirrors exactly like The Lion Guard: Return Of The Roar. But now that Kujenga and her Lion Guard are in their early twenties, they can still enjoy some childhood style fun. An instrumental of A Beautiful Day plays during this scene as the Island Guard and Kion take turns with the baobab fruit, tossing it to each other back and forth. They laugh playfully as they go from Acacia Grove to the watering hole. After that, the baobab fruit rolls along the ground and stops near Big Springs as Romar picks it up*

Romar: I got it!

Kujenga: Not for long! *Pounces on him in the blink of an eye, making the baobab fruit fall into the spring* Whoops! Game over. *Rising out of the water is Beshte's dad Basi with the baobab fruit, rolling it towards Kujenga*

Basi: Lose this, Kujenga?

Kujenga: *Retrieves the fruit from him* Thanks, Basi!

Basi: No problem! Happy birthday, Kujenga.

Kujenga: Thank you! *Looks at her friends* Shall we go on?

Bakari: Sure! Let's play! *The game continues as the Island Guard and Kion keep on tossing the baobab fruit in the air again and again, running and jumping across the savannah*

Kujenga: We haven't done this in years since we first met Kion!

Bakari: Same here!

*Scene fades to Pride Rock in the evening now that everyone has finished playing Baobab Ball and spent some time to see the sights. Kujenga looks at the ground on the way back to Pride Rock, feeling the need to stay strong through the next difficult times. But she keeps her thoughts positive along the rest of the way once Pride Rock is close*

Kujenga: This is it. Twenty years old. *Sighs with a hopeful and certain expression* Sodor, here we come.

Romar: Don't worry, Kujenga. Soon, when our banishment's over, we'll be back to Sodor in no time. *Kiara is seen on the edge of Pride Rock before Kion and the Island Guard return there*

Bakari: (Calls out) Hey, Kiara! So good to see you!

Kiara: Hello, Bakari! Happy birthday, Kujenga!

Kujenga: Thank you, Kiara! Come on, guys! Race ya to Pride Rock!

Kion: You're on!

Romar: On your marks... Get set... GO! *The group takes off at once, running as fast as they can to reach Pride Rock, with Kujenga seemingly coming in first place*

Kujenga: Looks like I'm gonna win!

Kion: We'll see about that! *But Kujenga does come first place the moment she reaches Pride Rock*

Kujenga: I made it! *Runs up Pride Rock with her friends until they reach the top of the ledge*

Romar: Well done, Kujenga!

Kion: Enjoying your time in the Pride Lands?

Romar: You bet we are! We'll head back home for tonight.

Kion: Okay. We hope you guys had a great visit and maybe you can come see me and Rani at the Tree of Life sometime.

Kujenga: Sounds good, Kion. Ready? *Her Lion Guard nods in agreement* See ya!

Kion and Kiara: Bye! *Kujenga and her Lion Guard descends Pride Lands to go home, teleporting themselves back to Jangwa Jungle where they go into their den. Bakari then spots his phone on the tree stump table to look at any recent messages*

Bakari: *Smiles* Kujenga's twenty years old now. And she'll be coming back to Sodor after all this time. *He looks at a picture of Thomas on his branch line as he looks at it with sympathy and compassion until the screen goes black after we hear The Call Of The Guard play for a bit until the end*
