I'm not a developer but I created this bowtieapp.com theme. It basically uses the current album art as a blurred wallpaper. It might be buggy, but I hope it works for you.
You can also download it here: cl.ly/Z6Wt
Once you install it and apply it do the following:
* Drag it to cover your desktop.
* Enable Bowtie's preference "Hide the Bowlet when the current source is stopped"
* Make sure the preference "Where should the Bowlet window appear" is set to "Stuck to the Desktop"
It's currently available for these resolutions: 1280x800, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1200, 2560x1440, 2560x1440, 2560x1600, 2880x1800.
Known issue: it hides your desktop icons, I haven't found a way not to do it.
it displays all odd.
one thing would make it even more awesome, tho... and that'd be a 1920x1080 (HD) version, so it can be used on a secondary display (say, a TV for example).
please, would you please consider doing that version? that'd be sooooo great!!
thanks heaps, dude!
