As the title suggests, this news article’s goal is to spread the dA love into everyone’s heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: buttercupminiatures :iconbuttercupminiatures:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

I have a broad interest in all things creative. I strive to capture the essence of a subject in both the real and miniaturised world. I like to capture unusual or quirky aspects of the natural world in my photos.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

My daughter suggested I join. The reception I have received for my miniature work is overwhelming, yet to me it’s just something I do!

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

It’s always been part of my life. I was always encouraged by my family, who are all artistic. The miniatures came later, when I was unable to find the right accessories for the dolls house that I built for my daughter, so decided to make some.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

Being able to see stunning natural landscapes, particularly the mountains or the sea, really inspires me. Although I’m not a loner, solitude gives me time and space to create.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

I didn’t choose this path, it chose me! If it wasn’t for miniatures, I’d probably still be teaching Geology.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

I made the crochet Carnation bouquet as a special gift for my parents' Wedding Anniversary. It was both amusing and rewarding that my Mum thought they were real!

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

I hope to make my miniature work a true representation of the original rather than just being viewed as dolls clothes and accessories. I feel that this doesn’t always work!
I’ve recently rekindled my interest in photography, but still feel most of my photos are more luck than judgement.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

I find that time I spend working on knitting and crochet projects takes me out of the rough and tumble of everyday life. I find these a good stress reliever.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

Visit a genuine German Christmas market – maybe one day…

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

Enjoy what you do! If others admire it, then that’s a bonus!

flight riskwe unfold wooden fans; a dozen hidden splinters
in the blades, cutting us before we have the chance.
you drew me in like a stringed balloon, your smile
faded into the wind - a daffodil breathing poison.
little black books bearing burns; we scraped
our knees on sandpaper with boredom.
laugh, you said,
and i did.
the clunking of an out-of-tune organ. the ritual
of a thousand horsemen galloping blindly into
a forever that won't last. the tousled manes of those horses,
how they vanish like inevitable sunsets.
there is an ache where your eyes once were.
i brush it out with the fans. not even the wind can
scatter the memories.
My assassin's suicide私のキラーの自殺
Watashi no kirā no jisatsu
The touch of your sword's curve is sweet,
How willing, I, as it pervades.
The metal cuts through dark and sweeps
With the cold its keening invades.
Full rending with each fluent stroke,
Diaphanous silk's white tempest.
In swirling vortex palest cloak,
Floating tachi shadow's clearest.
When at last the time comes untold
Will your sword lay alongside mine,
At the last when peace should enfold,
Will you join and lay yourself there,
Or, broken, will betray us, as
The sweet smell of LavenderEvery time I plunge my nose into her lilac hair
I smell this wild aroma tickling my nostrils
Every time I kiss her fresh neck under the violet twilight
I feel this scent melting with my blood
From her very name resonates my childhood's morning glory
I beg you, running Time, leave her unscathed

From her crocus gaze, a thousand chills!
I learn the bitter meaning of perfection
She drops blue bell caresses off my relieved inwardness
Like an angel without faith, I might sin
Turning heavens against me for her dahlia grin
When I look at my heart, I realize she coloured my world
