As the title suggests, this news article’s goal is to spread the dA love into everyone’s heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: DominikaAniola :icondominikaaniola:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

Hard question. The closest thing would be a combination of my past experiences and some ideas I aspire to.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

I don't remember, but it must have been through some other site over 5 years ago. I did join dA and several other sites at that time to find art-oriented people to chat with, learn and inspire from.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

I guess it has always been with me, showing itself through different activities, such as drawing/painting, hand-made jewelry, embroidery, nail art, photography or different forms of digital art. At this point, I stick mainly to photography and digital art, they seem to be the ones that fit me best.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

When it comes to photography I find very inspiring reading voyagers stories (I also find it very annoying because I can't visit all of those wonderful places). Browsing through other people pics works fine as well. When it comes to drawing/digital work I find extremely inspiring reading sci-fi books or watching sci-fi movies/tv series. But that images don't go public, since I'm having trouble to make them anything worth looking at.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

I would have been a damn good engineer or computer scientist. :)

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

Hmm.. I don't have a particular piece that would be the most important one. Couple of them are special, because their good reception encouraged me to try harder. I also find myself sentimental about many photos that come from my trips. I love to travel.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

I think it' quite common to fear that you're not good enough, that something could have been done better. That's one of the reasons for not going pro. But by putting my work on public display I can get some (more or less) objective feedback on where I am on the "I-am-a-brilliant-artist" scale. :) Sometimes it results in swearing on myself for several hours, but eventually everything comes back to normal and I run around with a camera and a stupid smile on my face.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

It served as a stepping stone at some bad times, when I needed to get my head clear. I either went out with my camera or lost myself while drawing/creating something on the computer.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

Quit job and travel all over the world. My first stop would be New Zealand, where I would spend entire year or more taking photos of birds.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

I'm glad you're out there. :) Best regards from Poland.

I think….today…I’ve gotten high.
They say when you die, your spirit lifts into the sky,
While your body is left to wither away;
Decomposing little by little, through day and night.
And the odd part? My eyes have never looked more alive.
My twilit optics representing my life line— light.
As it diffuses before my very eyes,
Yet the darkness under them suspends my exterior disguise.

My feet are grounded to the Earth. The physical—
Forever chained to the fleshly confines.
There is no escape from the mortal coil.
Blood no longer boils.
Only eyelids lower, cold stares sending shivers down spines.
Lightning crackles on the inside, yet the outside’s covered in ice.
I feel out of my (Only my eyes speak mine…) mind. (Out of my body)
I think that’s the taste of defrosting love.
It tastes…like charred caramel mixed with cold quinine.

the sex in your words
it dancebeats each syllable
into the rhythm of submission
to your desire
of thrusting or being thrusted
plain letters draped
in shades of sultry black
only visible to the connoisseur
of linguistic lust
while virgin eyes remain blind
to their deflowering
the twist of your subconscious power
to exude your curves
in the guise of thoughtful
genteel non-fiction
I fall
wantingly

A Mark on the WorldHi there, I'm Mark.
A Mark.
One of many.
It's a pretty common name, despite it not being the most common one, that is. The names comes from, if one is to believe a quick search on your Internet search engine, that Mark is a common male first name, derived from old Latin "Mart-kos", meaning "consecrated to the god Mars". Other meanings include "God of war" and even "to be warlike". Marcus, the Latin equivalent, was one of the three most common given names in Ancient Rome. It also told me to see Roman given names, but I didn't. Didn't feel like it. It means 'hammer' in Latin, apparently. And 'warring' in Swedish. Also, 'polite; shining' in Biblical terms.
I never felt like either, to be honest.
Only like a Mark.
There have been many 'Marks' throughout History. Saint Mark, patron saint of Venice, was the author of the second Gospel in the New Testament. Mark Zukerberg, who, as practically everyone knows in developed countries, founde
