As the title suggests, this news article’s goal is to spread the dA love into everyone’s heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: dicemanart :icondicemanart:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

I'm goofy. I worked at a camp for a few summers and my time there showed me just how important it is to enjoy things and just be positive overall. You've got to have fun.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

I found out about dA way back in eighth grade (I just graduated from CCAD to put that in perspective haha) and another "art kid" at my school told me about it. Because I was one of 2 kids that planned on pursuing art I thought I was pretty slick and figured I'd give it a try.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

I've always been that kid that drew all the time. When I was in kindergarten I remember getting a "How to Draw Dinosaurs" book and I spent hours copying all the dinosaurs. Later I took comic book illustration classes in seventh grade and I was hooked.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

I love old school illustrator JC Leyendecker! LOVE! His technique and style are just so amazing. I've always painted using shapes rather than blending so I tend to gravity towards that stuff. I also really enjoy contemporary guys like Erik Jones, Paul Ruiz, and Bill Sienkiewicz.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

Professional dodgeball player. That or something with math. I used to be good at math.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

I'd definitely have to say Seeing Red aka "Lost" on some of my other sites. It was my first photo emulsion project in screen printing and I had to think differently than normal. I decided to try to make the colors vibrate as much as possible and hopefully hurt your eyes. I don't know why that was my goal but it was. By the end of it, I had a new style that I really enjoy doing and I keep trying to push further and further.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

I used to do mostly traditional paintings but the last six months or so I've mostly worked in photoshop. I want to get back to traditional painting but I fear I will be very rusty.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

Yeah. Back in seventh grade I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. Not long afterwards I started taking Saturday art classes at a local art school. I dove into creating my own world that has evolved into a project I'm still working on called "Burnouts".

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

Hmmm, I can only think of two things. The first happened at a Paramore / No Doubtconcert back in 2010. I am a huge Hayley Williams (singer of Paramore) fan. She's an incredible singer and she's definitely my celebrity crush. My friend Tristin and I went to get a drink and on our way back we could see the tour bus in the distance. The only thing separating us from the bus was a fence. She totally wanted to climb the fence and try to find the band but I chickened out. The second is kind of silly. I had just finished my Freshmen year at CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design) and some friends and I were going to get some bdubs before going to see the new Robin Hood. At bdubs we had THE coolest waitress ever. She was into comics, WOW, and she was cute. My friends tried to get me to ask her out, maybe even go to Robin Hood with us, but I don't think I could ask a complete stranger out. I'm no where near that outgoing!

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

Stay positive and keep going! The minute you give in to doubt or even just the crazy stuff that's going on in the world, it's going to be one hundred percent more difficult to stay motivated and work on your art. Instead use your art as a way to get over whatever struggle you're going through. Also, because I've had C.F. Payne as a professor I feel like I have to say this, "Always have reference. Even if it's for grass."

The ListenerFiona stepped through the doors and into the room, comprising of a comfortable chair facing a blank screen that was built into the wall. Just in front of the chair was a table, on which sat a simple-looking but powerful microphone. As she sat in the chair the soundproofed door locked behind her and, seconds later, a tone sounded indicating the connection had been opened.
"Hello," came the voice, digitally altered to mask recognition. The screen flickered with a jagged pattern reacting to the sound from the speaker. Perhaps a subtle reminder that, though these situations were anonymous, they were recorded. There was even a camera above the door, and another over the screen.
"Hi," replied Fiona, with a false brightness to her own voice that irritated her the instant it came.
"This is the central control official dealing with your request," continued the screen. There was, of course, a person speaking to her form somewhere. But it made it better to think of them as a screen.
"Okay," she r
