As the title suggests, this news article’s goal is to spread the dA love into everyone’s heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: SalvadorTrakal :iconsalvadortrakal:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

Well that's a tough question, first I like to think I'm an artist hehe, so that would be the short definition of myself, because the things you do defines you, actions, there are also things that I try to do, like being a good person, not look for trouble and help people when I can. I'm a good person, not because I just think I am, but because I try to be every day, and I think that is more important than anything, that said, I'm a good-person-artist, don't to be confused with good artist, I'm still far from that hehe.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

When I started studying and found out about digital art, I surfed the net to find sites like this, started on Conceptart.org, a friend's art site and Deviant.
I joined because it's a nice community, lot of different art, reference pictures (if you can get past the dudes uploading pictures of their junk... yeah some people do that), I also like the groups, you can find nice works there and also share yours, currently I use more deviantART than any other art related site.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

Somewhere I read that everybody draws when they are little, I just never stopped drawing, I spent every day of my childhood drawing, and playing video games, another thing that made me want to work as an artist, then when I turned 18 I started taking it more seriously and doing studies to get better since I decided that this was what I wanted to do, and I still do :).

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

Videogames and movies, that inspires me a lot, I see something that I like and gets me exited, then I start thinking how I would do that, what would I change etc.
I think that my creativity is at its max first when I'm happy, thats important, and also when I really like what I'm painting or drawing, that gets me going and more exited, really liking what I'm doing is one of the best feelings for me.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

Probably game designer? Or dedicate my life to martial arts, I've been practicing Northen Shaolin for 6 years now and is something that I love, all martial arts actually, but I like chinese ones the most, since are the oldest that still exist and I like ancient stuff.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

It's funny, but is one that no one likes or pay attention to it, Robotron 3000, love the mood, the characters, its a little old now and has some mistakes, but it's one of my favorites, I had a great time doing it, it's based on the Fallout video games, I'm great fan, specially Fallout 2 which is one of my favorite games of all time, a true masterpiece.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

YES! xD, that's when people come into play, people liking my stuff keeps me going, if it wasn't for them I would've quit, I sill have a lot to learn, sometimes it gets rough and I get a little depressed, but that's normal, you just have to see how far you've come and keep working hard.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

I think it does help me with problems, when I'm painting there's nothing else, just that, me and the painting, I forget about any problems I may have, It helped me a lot when I broke up with my girlfriend and I had nothing else to do so yeah, art helps and art will never leave you, I think is one of the most magical things, creating art, any form of art.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

Going to space, my dream is to travel across the universe, meet alien people, but I can't, so that's something I'll never do, besides that nothing I can think of, just art.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

Never give up, keep working hard, do your studies, get together, make artist friends, help each other and that one is very important, never let how good or bad you are get to your head, be a good person, that's more important than being a good artist!
If you are just starting with this or you like what I do and want me to help you or answer some questions feel free to contact me, I'll do my best to help you, because no one helped me when I asked and I want to change that, If all of us help each other fulfill our dreams, our goals, there will be more and more beautiful art and artists in the world, also if you can go to art school, workshops or something, DO IT!, I'm self taught and live in an emergent country, there's nothing here and I'm still doing it and I'm living from it, so DON'T GIVE UP AND MAKE MORE ART!!! :D

:thumb389054102: telephones and cortisonePuerto Rico is still asleep
while we starfish aimlessly in the sea -
We are like lost men seeking shelter
in a place where the sweating sun
is forever at high noon,
ceiling fans turning slowly
and dewy drops on upper lips.
I am the skinny girl in an indie movie
who lounges around in her underwear,
a cigarette dangling limper than dirty hair.
A phone rings somewhere.
I am grasping at a dream
like I am drowning and watching
the surface float away, falling
so deep into sleep that
the stars seem to sing.

Time Is the Cruelest ColorSummer shows stained teeth
long in the mouth
of spit and spent marbles
and honeybees buzzing.
I've put down the torch,
slept in my own bed and forgotten

Then the breeze brushes past
back into the white lines of tomorrow,
leaving residual shivers
full of colors like plum and ash,
evergreen and wildfire.
and I remember
