Tell us what defines you as a person.I'm not really sure how to answer that, I am just me, I am different around each person, but one thing that stays the same is my art, I'm always thinking about my paintings, like the words of Andrew Wyeth - "I dream a lot. I do more painting when I'm not painting."
How did you found out about deviantART and why did you join the community?I think I found it through my first year of studying, one of my class mates mentioned it, and I thought it would be a good place to show my art and receive some feedback from other artists.
When and how did you discover your passion for art?I think I've always had a passion for art, there's so many drawings from when I was a child, but I think the time I really considered taking it seriously was the last year of high school, that's about the same time that I started producing work that I was actually proud of.
What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?I'm inspired a lot by nature, the colours, lines, shapes, sounds, there is endless inspiration out there. But of course other artists have always inspired me too, I recently went to France for the first time, and the art that I saw over there definitely had a huge impact on me.
I probably feel most creative when I don't have time to be, usually when I am at my part time job, or going out to dinner with friends, so pretty much at the most inconvenient times.
What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?Oh, I have no idea, this is my life, and has been for so long now, before I got into art I had no other ideas, no back up plans. I guess I just believed this was the only way for me.
What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?That's an extremely tricky question, they all have some special meaning to me.
Arum is one of my (many) favourites because I painted it with a broken wrist, the entire thing from start to finish was done with my painting hand in a cast, which was extremely hard to do any details.
There's also a sunset painting I did in 2009, which was stolen from my house about a year ago, that was painted from the sunset of my grandmothers funeral, so that one always meant a lot to me.
Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?Always, and I think I always will, every painting I do, I feel like I then need to do another one better, or bigger, it's like an addiction or obsession, I will never be able to paint well enough or paint enough paintings to satisfy myself,
but in saying that, I never want to be comfortable with the work I'm producing because you can't improve if you don't think you need improving.
Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?I think that's one of the main reasons I paint, my latest series "Reality Escapes Her" is basically a reaction to all the drama going on in the world, the wars, greed, lies, poverty, hate, gossip. I find life hard to deal with, and this series particularly, is in response to that, it is my personal escape.
What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?I'm only 23, so there is still time for everything that I wish to do

I have no regrets so far, everything I have done has brought me where I am.
A few words for our fellow artists?Keep at it, if you want to paint or draw a certain way, you will as long as you don't give up. I have surprised myself in the last year, and I think that is where a lot of people go wrong, they don't tell themselves that they can do it.
