As the title suggests, this news article's goal is to spread the dA love into everyone's heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!
Tell us what defines you as a person.I suppose you could call me an observer of life (some may call me a daydreamer!) .
I love being amongst family, friends and people but I also like being alone to contemplate the life around me. I can be very driven too and when I get into my Zone with painting, it almost becomes an obsession, I forget everything around me including time and immerse myself into my bubble.
How did you found out about deviantART and why did you join the community?I was looking to start meeting and networking with other artists and deviantART looked and is the ideal place.
When and how did you discover your passion for art?I have always loved art since a child (i was always drawing and making models of things) but I pursued other career paths. As an adult I decided to pursue my dreams and went back to art school as a mature student and I have never looked back.
What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum? My biggest inspiration is the world around me. Like i said earlier, I am an observer and i am facinated by the lives of people around me and our purpose in life with relation to the nature surrounding us. I often go for walks and remind myself how lucky I am to be here.
My creativity definitely flows higher in the evening… I think it is a time when your mid starts relaxing from all the daily stimulus and I feel I need to let it all out on paper/canvas. I often go to bed and have so many thoughts and ideas in my head that i can't sleep and i need to write them down!
What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?I would probably be working in a medical laboratory somewhere or teaching (prevoius careers).
What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?I suppose
A Sense of Purpose... it was my first big powerful painting and it sums up all my personal determination to push myself further into my art studies...
Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?I am always quite negative about my abilities and I often feel I need to do better but I think this is a common insecurity for artists. It takes time to build up self-confidence in your art and then promote yourself to others.
Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems? It allows me to escape life's little problems for a period of time whilst I am in my Zone! Bliss...
What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?I wish I had taken a year out of life as a student to travel the world... there is so much out there to enjoy but you need to be young, free and independent to truly experience it to the full...
A few words for our fellow artists?Life is too short and you only get one.... so be as creative as you can and don't be afraid of making mistakes and learning from them. An art teacher once told me for every 1 great artwork you create, there will probably be 4 rubbish ones in the process! I always remember this when I get myself too tightly drawn into a work that is not looking quite the way I wanted it to look. It's all part of the process.... Finally, it's never too late to start exploring your potential. Have fun!

Literature Feature
The beginningMassive black clouds filled the air as thunder sounded and lightning struck far points of the ground. Up on a hill sat an old willow tree with dark brown wood and thick leaves that rapidly swayed with the wind. Then in a sudden flash of red all that tranquility was disturbed as a huge ray of red lightning destroyed the willow and charring it to its stump as pieces of it flew into the air. On the charred stump lay a boy. He had an average build and he had dark brown spiky hair, his clothing was unfamiliar as it was a black trench coat with a red flame pattern on the bottom of it but what was really strange were his eyes which were red cat eyes.
The boy appeared to be unconscious through this whole ordeal and it seemed like nothing could wake him. Suddenly his eyes shot open and he screamed as pain arched through his body. His pain was probably from the fact that he fell from a huge height in a super heated ray of energy, but most likely it was him being unused to that type of travel.
"O
SubjunctiveThe Subjunctive doesn't die out
The Possibilities stay
And the Chances do prevail
"We should not wage war.
We could be better.
We would get closer together.
We might be the best,
But what about the rest?"
The Subjunctive doesn't die
The Possibilities stay
And Chances prevail
Especially the Chance to fail
"What if we do not see anyone behind us,
Because they already surpassed us?"
So concerned speakes the Old West,
That still consideres Chances,
That were already taken by the Rest.
Spindle of lifeTaken from the spindle of life,
Like a string upon it's circular surface,
Sewn into the pattern of others,
Lost in the many threads within.
Remember to forgetI remember who you are,
who you were to me
Did you think that it would be that easy?
Did you think that you can break me?
As the years have passed,
and the scares start to fade
I am in charge now,
you are out of place
