As the title suggests, this news article's goal is to spread the dA love into everyone's heart! You will find here a little bit of everything, from awesome interviews with talented artists, art features, group promotion to random deviants' features. I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: Lyricanna :iconlyricanna:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

That's a hefty question that could easily lead to a long. philosophical answer  I'd say I'm the sum of my experiences and the values I have been taught and acquired over the years. So experience and knowledge, good or bad.

:bulletyellow: How did you found out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

I found out about dA when I was 13 from my then best friend, now fiance =SpiritLullaby. We've both switched from our original accounts since then  And in all honesty, I joined because I was bored in my grade 9 business tech class and wanted something to do. I drew as a hobby and there were a lot of nice people, so it just worked out.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

Always loved drawing. Started drawing horses when I was 8, Pokemon and Digimon at 10 and then people and characters at 12. It was something to do that made me happy and allowed me an escape and I just stuck with it.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

Books, video games, music and SpiritLullaby. 75% of what I create has something to do with her; we throw ideas back and forth so often that we don't even realize that we're doing it half the time.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

Well, I don't have a career in art nor have I gone to art school, so I'm not sure I chose an art path, really. I can't imagine not volunteering here though; can't imagine life without dA for extended time periods either  In all likelihood, I would have found other websites to participate in or maybe I'd still read a couple hundred books a year

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

That's actually really hard to pick. I draw more to design than to convey meaning, and I rarely am patient enough to draw a full scene. In terms of a scene with a story behind it, I'd say The Price of Failure. It shows part of the story of how one of my characters got a scar that bisects her breast, which is always a reminder to her of how close she came to death because she became overconfident. The emotion was a challenge to me, as was the character poses and interaction. Loads of technical flaws, but still something different than what I normally do :)

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

Oh gods, yes. I have a fear of negative feedback and tend to sit there and see every fault in something I am about to post (anatomy, perspective, that fold looks off, etc). I catastrophize; I always feel the work isn't that great and am waiting for someone to jump on it. I want to create to have fun yet I let my anxiety towards my art and responses to it, take me away from that.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

It helped me avoid a lot of them and gave me something to focus on that was good when nothing else seemed to be. So yes and no.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

I keep saying I want to do nude modeling at least once before I die. I have done some loosely implied nude but never nudity that showed anything you have to keep covered if you leave the house :) Not sure if I ever will do artistic nude, I'm a bit shy, but it would be interesting.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

If you don't make mistakes and you don't have fun, you're doing it wrong. Step back, take breaks when needed, accept that not everything will be perfect, learn from it and enjoy doing so  :)

This is How I FeelIt Can't Rain Everyday,
But as the Daylight falls;
When Angels and Serpents Dance,
I'll Be Ready.
For Today,
As the rain is Descending Upon Us;
This Lifewar is Collapsing.
I feel Blood In The Tears
As this Internal Cannon
Is Driving Nails into my soul.
I remember the Story Of Us
And remember when you were Mine.
Tell Me Why, You're Not Sorry,
I was Innocent in The Way I Loved You.
We were Fifteen and Fearless;
I thought our Love Story would last
Forever And Always.
I was Enchanted, as the Sparks Fly.
Memories take me Back To December,
And reminds me that the Last Kiss
Was Better Than Revenge.
I'm Haunted, I'm Addicted,
But that's just the Tip Of The Iceburg.
Where Do I Go From Here?
I wanted to Curl Up And Die.
Sorrow makes it so hard to Breathe Today.
You want me to Let It All Out,
So Here We Go.
You're The One I'm Waiting For
And they say that the Best Is Yet To Come.
But I'm Buried Beneath,
Or So I Thought.
I'm So Sick,
I can feel you All Around Me.
I'm Sorry.
I Just Want You To Know
Lonely (Of Minds and Mist)Lonely, but I am not alone
there are others out there in the mist
others out there also missed
Dreary day, hope hasn't shone
its beautifully mischievous face my way
How long? How long?
till the rain subsides and you come home,  to me
The storm slowly churns as the thunder bellows above
My love, My love
this rain could rage all night
Soaking wet, beaded on your body
I begin by allowing you inside, insisting that I
wouldn't dare close the door
Following the path your muddy footprints create on the floor
Long tangled hair made heavy by the weight of rain
Covers your face but invites me in,  to your mind
Through thoughts intricate and plain
as the drenched clothes that cling to your skin
Those layers no longer conceal you from me
A mask now unadorned
Your figure beckons me towards you
    ...I will keep you warm
Leena and EricI was excited to be on the sea again. Most crews were converting to airships with the new technology but I preferred the ocean. I sighed as I stared at it before walking on board. It was a beautiful ship, with a few additions of the new technology. It helped keep the ship in good shape and it made it shine as well. But it also required the help of Nathan. Luckily it usually kept him busy during our missions. Everyone was preparing themselves for the journey, making sure that they had packed everything and preparing their spaces. The crew kept buzzing about the new captain. I didn't really care; I just wanted to set sail already. Once we were finished unpacking, George, the first mate, called us all on deck to wait for the new captain.
"Everyone make way for the new captain!" George announced to the crew. Jim, Nathan and I moved over to the railing as everyone parted so the new Captain could come aboard. No one had ever met him in person, but rumor had it that he was very young but had
The Night Walkers (Page 1)    The street was barren of life, a fact that rang warnings from High Heaven that it would be dangerous to take that route.  Unfortunately for Elaine, she lived on that street and if she intended to get any sleep before her court appearance the following day to reduce her chances of saying things she shouldn't she was going to have to take it.  With a resigned sigh, she began the walk down the street.  It wasn't more than two steps that she'd felt the hairs on the back of her neck rise.  She stomped down the urge to run as soon as it rose, that would only entice the probable Night Walker that was stalking her now.
Her door, her sanctuary was in sight.  Once through its threshold she would be safe for another night, but it was still much too far away for her liking.  Her instincts were telling her to bolt, but her training told her to stay her course.
  "Ellie," the shadows called.
