I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: Natan-Estivallet :iconnatan-estivallet:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.
I'm a very common person, I work as a physician and teacher (epidemiology), and dedicate myself to art in the weekends.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?
I found it navigating on the internet, and I joined the community to show my art and make new friends.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?
In my childhood. At first it was music, later on, when I was in my twenties, I discovered painting.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?
Nature is my major inspiration: trees, rivers, sunsets, sunrises, and my creativity is at its maximum when I am most relaxed and mind free.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?
Probably I would work with people, maybe psychology.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?
It is Beige Landscape. I think the glow of light and the mood, the overall atmosphere and the somewhat tonalistic style makes this painting special to me. When I painted it I wasn't aware how much I appreciate tonalism, and nowadays I know it so it was a beautiful start in this style.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?
Well, who doesn't? But I think I can tell when a work isn't good enough to show to other people. I have a friend that destroys with a knife (!) the canvas he painted and didn't like the final result! I'm not so radical! :D

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?
Yes, for sure! Art makes us better persons and it is a relieve to our daily life problems.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?
I'm not that young and not that old, so I think I have more things to do in life, but I'm satisfied at the moment.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?
Please make art throughout your lives! Art is something that can help us - artists and public - in many ways. Besides pleasure and beauty, art can be used therapeutically in many ways, and there are a lot of scientific articles showing evidence in therapeutical trials. Warm hugs from Brazil!
