I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: noukka :iconnoukka:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.
Woah, this is one difficult question! I think it would be my duality, which includes indecisiveness and liking completely opposite things. Everyone has a different role and show a different part of their personality in different situations and company, so I guess duality suits that as well. (I did a small self-exploring project once, so this answer doesn't come from nowhere haha, otherwise I'd probably never think of it)

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?
Ooh, that is ages ago! I was 13 (now 22) and stumbled upon some photographers here. At the time I wrote poetry so I made an account to publish that, but moved to photography and a new account not all that long after.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?
Same story as above actually, or at least, for photography. I guess since I was already writing poetry, my passion for art is from before that. I'm not sure actually, but I do remember always answering the question "what do you want to be when you grow up" with "art teacher". I'd still like to teach at some point in my life, I think.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?
Music, emotions, people and my surroundings inspire me most. But also fellow artists and what they accomplish is very inspiring to me. I'm not sure about my creativity's maximum (I hope that's still in the future for me), but my best ideas often come to me when I'm biking (to school, work, friends, whatever). Biking is such an automatic thing to me, that my thoughts can just go free (except when I hit a red traffic light).

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?
I'd either be studying Psychology or studying to be a teacher. I'd probably be writing more instead of doing photography, but I guess I'll still be creating, I don't think I can do otherwise.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?
Hmm, this one is hard because I'm missing a lot of work in my gallery here because I favored Flickr during my Project 365... But I think it would be Distance.
It's about my family; because my mother is Danish, my dad has always traveled a lot and my sisters live abroad, I have always been going all over the place. I've never known anything else, but it can still be hard to not have your loved ones close, and that's what this photo is about. How you can be far away, yet still connected.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?
Oh of course! I'm insecure about my photos quite a lot, I think. From not being sure what genre I'd like to do, to not being sure if I should post a certain work. It's not really specific things, just being insecure in general. But I can also be proud while being insecure, so it still sort of works. I just have to push myself to keep experimenting, keep creating.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?
Yes! Definitely. My photos are often very personal and deal with my own insecurities or worries. I definitely use art to express myself, to cope with things. It's also helped me with being less shy, because I've gotten to know many amazing artists, and it has made me a lot more social and less afraid of starting conversations.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?
I'd love to do a shoot with a full team. I haven't yet, but I'm working on some ideas and building up a network of MUA's, models and stylists so that I can, one day.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?
Keep creating. And don't expect inspiration to always come to you, sometimes you'll have to go out and get it!
