I hope you will find this informative and entertaining!

Interviewed artist: John-Peter :iconjohn-peter:

:bulletyellow: Tell us what defines you as a person.

I took a long time to answer this question and I think this would be hard question everyone. We are always changing and everyone is their own reflection. As a photographer, I’m always trying to look at everything with a new perspective and trying to learn from what I see.

:bulletyellow: How did you find out about deviantART and why did you join the community?

I was searching for art in general and when I finally found deviantART I fell in love with the beautiful and inspirational works showcased here. After three months as a deviant, I decided to start posting some snapshots to see what would happen. The provided feedback by the other deviants and the nice people I've met here always motivate me to keep improving and doing what I like.

:bulletyellow: When and how did you discover your passion for art?

I always liked art. From music, traditional art and digital art to writing and others kinds of art. It is really interesting to see what people can do with their imagination.

:bulletyellow: What inspires you the most and when do you think your creativity is at its maximum?

Music, art and nature. In a walk in the nature, listening to music, watching people, reading a book or discovering new ways to see everything. Anything can be an inspiration, inspiration is everywhere.

:bulletyellow: What do you think you'd be doing if you hadn't chosen this path?

Honestly I don't know. There are infinite possibilities.

:bulletyellow: What do you think it's your most meaningful deviation and what makes it special? Does it have a story behind it?

Lately I’m appreciating all my photos, they are all special to me. They are a part of me and I love them, from the photos with better quality to the low quality works. They are part of my learning process in the photography art.
One of my 'most meaningful' deviations is Morning Dew. I took this photo in a very happy moment of my life and in the first hours I got so many positive feedback that made me feel even happier. That motivated me to keep improving and enjoying a calm and relaxing morning view.

:bulletyellow: Do you have any insecurities regarding your art?

Yes and no. "An artist is his / her own worst critic." I see my "insecurities" as opportunities to improve.

:bulletyellow: Did art ever helped you to deal with your life problems?

Certainly! Art is like a "window to another world", a world that we create. It’s always interesting and relaxing seeing how creative people can be. When I make art, I find myself enjoying what I create. It is an encounter with myself.

:bulletyellow: What is the one thing you always wanted to do but never got a chance to?

I think there are many things I want to do and I am sure they will come with time. Everything I did brought me here, so I'm grateful for it.

:bulletyellow: A few words for our fellow artists?

Life is a gift. A beautiful gift, so enjoy it! We are all the creators of our own journey. "Anyone can walk with you, but no one can walk for you". So create your own journey and be happy doing what you love! "Do what you love and love what you do".
