Green Archer by lindowyn-stock Green Archer by lindowyn-stock
(..needs food badly!...dammit..video games...)

I am very, very very picky about archery form.

Perhaps I shouldn't be, but...how do you ever expect to hit something without it...

Introducing a new model: A.Lowe, whom I have recently had the pleasure of working with for the first time, and hopefully not the last. :D

PLEASE SEE JOURNAL FOR INSTRUCTIONS

Hi, I used this image to practice my pencil drawing. Love the form and the dress!

I understand... there way too many painting of archer out there that have no idea how to hold a bow......

but at the same time Ive seen some awesome archers with really weird stances... 'Dalton Will Nock Your Nock Off' yeah thats his name looks like he has to take a piss badly when he shoots... but he says the answer is all in being consistent!

:lmao: Yeah, that's true. I do feel there's a difference between a weird stance and one that will give you a physical injury if you try it though. I shoot with my feet sometimes when I'm bored. :D

yes indeed... I have that problem... I have a double bent elbow... so if I straighten my arm fully its actually hyper extended.. and the string slaps mu inner arm

so I have to bend my arm... and keep it straight or my lazy way to do it is bend my wrist... but than it limits the pull I can manage

One more suggestion.
(If I'm being a pain in the ass, say so :( I'm actually trying to help :O )

When you pull a bow, the hand that pulls the string gets "anchored" against the cheekbone right under the eye that's doing the sighting.

That way, you look sort of along your arrow, and actually hit what you are trying to shoot. ;)

(that probably doesn't make any sense .... I always seem to end up commenting when insomnia strikes. :O_o:)

Well, of course you gotta be picky about form, or else someone's gonna get shot in the ass. XD

*sigh* Like me. Who has been shot in the ass. Its a fine reason to be picky about safety and form.

Let me tell you, sitting down is an adventure after that.
