I was just going thru my messages for the first time in a really long time and I saw that I have been given Llama badges.
First of all, I want to thank everyone who gifted me a llama badge. All 87 of you. Thank you very much.
Now, I need to know what a llama badge is? How do you get them?
I was obviously given them.
But how did people get them to begin with?
What is the purpose of them?
And is there a proper etiquette to be followed when I receive one?
Just finished adding up the scores from the three judges.
Only one prize was offered here for first place. It's 10:32 pm here in Hawaii so I made it! Thanks to everyone for their patience being that I'm a whole month late in announcing a winner. I'm very sorry about that.
The final pieces were picked by me off of my "gut" reaction. Pieces were judged on Vision, Originality, Technique, and Impact.
There was a tie for 3rd place.
2nd place was only half a point behind the winner.
I wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful entries.
I think one of the best things about being an artist is having an outlet. When my insides get so full that I think I might explode I am able to let it out this way. Solice might be too sad to appeal to anyone. I hope that's not the case because I need her gone. Soon.
Ok, there are a few things...
First, the :thumb155141158: contest deadline is April 1st and it's almost here. If you are working on your submission still please contact me via a note!
Second, according to the contest rules, there canNOT be any visible signs such as watermarks that would prevent me from sending the judges a clear anonymous copy of the deviation. You can sign your wonderful art after the contest.
Third, art is a personal thing. All of the submissions were wonderful. Therefore, I am not going to make the judges comments public. The only person who can view their own comments will be the artist and that is only if they request
First of all, I admit that I don't anything about digital art so this may not be all that amazing.
I have tried to keep up with the comments for all of the contest entries and I was browsing comments on this submission :thumb158620674: by `lithriel (https://www.deviantart.com/lithriel).
The submission by itself is wonderful but she shows her process here and I haven't seen anything like it before. It's way cool. You have got to watch this!
