Its amazing how to me, this is an exciting thing full of possibilities and trust. But to others its a disturbing confrontation. Tape bondage is the best :D Thank you!

yes, it's often misunderstood..  but there's a good gang here, who know what's what.  I love the title by the way, "Numinous"...  nicely suggestive without - ahem - "tying down" the meaning too much. ;)

brilliant xD trying to be suggestive without influencing the observer in order to create the same kind of observation within someone of the voice in their head. In the hopes that the stark confrontation of what that voice tells them and the reality of who they actually are create a sort of cognitive dissonance that can only be eased by changing their perspective in order to have a sense of harmony between the voice and the self. That they will realise that they are not the voice in their head but the observer who sits behind it that recognises it is a voice in the first place.

gosh I sound like an artist or something.

yes, I vaguely remember some art theory essay about the concept of "open text", or "readerly text".. it's a while since I dallied with semiotics, but I'm all in favour of allowing people to construct meaning according to whatever they bring to the artwork.  Very few of them will realize that's what's going on, though, that's the nature of cognitive bias I suppose.  ...aaaand cue the bullshit-alarm!, lol ;)

very much so. Semiotics are fascinating. Its a large part of how our society has focused on memes and emojis. It gives emotional context to communication that is generally missing. Semantics are equally as important though. Thats what Harry Potter is about. About the power of naming things. As you can see in the world at the moment with the 'me too' movement and how it is bringing to the surface everything. Showing just how many people really don't understand the difference between fantasy and reality. Anything is possible, the only difference between a hot, violent sexual sadistic fantasy and abuse is 'consent'.

Implied meanings sometimes say more then the picture itself
