The Story of The Chromatic Deck
Everything has begun with the submission of the Ace of Spades in November 2011. It was so well-received by the community that I decided to create a full deck in that style. The other ace cards followed, then the face cards. I wanted to create something unusual and custom, something that hasn't been done before in that way. As far as I know and after viewing many examples of custom playing cards I succeeded. On Dec 6 I started this email list to see how many people actually would buy my cards and the response was - IS - overwhelming. Although the unit price is not little. I am an experienced Graphic Designer with my own business but as a playing card designer I am a beginner (it's my first deck, yeah!). Not only I did the design and the layout but I am also my own agent, publisher and seller at the moment. That's a hell of a job but that's how we all start off I guess. My first edition will be very small because printing playing cards is an expensive affair. I hope to be able to raise enough money to print a larger second edition to make the price more affordable to those who are not able to spend more than $10 on a deck of cards. I want to thank all people who support my work in one way or the other! With your suggestions and comments I was able to considerably improve my design and find a name for the deck. And with your support and purchase this deck will be an awsome addition to the custom playing cards collection! Thank you!
Yours truly,
Lily
