Heyo, evryone. I just decided to come out to explain what I'm sure my old watchers have been wondering: How come I'm not uploading any artwork now?
In my first journal, I stated how I'll decide whether or not I'll upload comics and drawings. Overtime, I grew accustomed to uploading Gmod, SFM, and in-game screenshots, even though it takes relatively long to make a picture. And I have quite a few reasons I made the decisions not to post art:
1. There are such things as art theives.
This is the main reason. In the middle of my decision, I've witnessed an increase of artworks taken by others. Not just on here, either... In real life, too. There are some cases where it was obvious, but sometimes the artist had to go a long way to prove their artwork was stolen. I don't want this to happen for me. However, in case is it does at some point, I want to be more than prepared. This leads to my second reason:
2. I'm currently working into trademark
Trademarking and adding watermarks with my stuff will make it significantly easier to protect my artwork from art theives. Unfortunately, nothing like that will be free. So I'm gonna spend some time working to obtain that goal, which means it'll be a long time. But it'll be beneficial in the long run.
3. I'm spending some time to improve artwork
Of course, just because I don't post artwork doesn't mean I'm not drawing at all. I've recently been working to improve on my art, such as the anatomy of characters, perspective and composition, etc. This is added to my stories and such as practice, so hopefully there will a bit more notices in improvement.
As much as I want to get back into sharing artwork with you guys, it's not really possible for me to do so at the moment. I really do apologize... But that's my decision. I don't know how long I'll go without sharing art, but just know I'm working into doing so again.
On a side note/bright side, I did decide bring back Ask the SplatSquad again, but it will be done with Gmod, and I need to make some tweaks and adjustments. I don't have a set date, but just note it will arrive soon.
