Deviation Actions
Hello, everyone! I just wanted to give you another update on something I've been wanting to change for a while, and it's my Splatoon character bios. I figured since it's the new year, I might as well make some changes.
As most of my old watchers know, my characters were made using one of the Splatoon icon maker websites (The Ika version, I'm sure). It does the job but it has its limitations, mainly the limited clothing, expressions, and originality. So, I decided I'm going to completely revamp them, and notify everyone when a character has been finished via deviation update. The bios will be written in accordance to the Splatoon 3 era, meaning after all of my Splatoon 1 and 2 stories. Characters that are planned to be in Splatoon 3 stories may have little to no information in their descriptions to avoid spoilers. Considering I made 3 bio variations (Team, Main, and Side Bios), I've come up with a solution for all three in terms of what they will showcase:
Team Bios
The team bios represents all characters who are on a team. Each team bio will contain:
An overview picture of the team. It may become a full-body height chart displaying the characters and their weapons.
Their custom team logo
Their overall team ranking and positions. This will help their single bios become less cluttered.
Main Bios
Main Bios are, of course, the characters I include the most in my stories. Each main bio will contain:
A Half-Body picture (potentially the same as the team bio photo)
Their custom splashtag and team logo
Basic info like personality, family, gear, etc
An overall description. Each will have a Splatoon 1, 2, and 3 section (or less if applicable)
Side Bios
Side Bios are characters who aren't included in many stories. Each main bio will contain:
A Half-Body picture
Their custom splashtag (depending on their activity in Splatoon 3's timeline)
The description structure of the main bios (Displaying their ranking, positions, and overall description. This is only if they're not on a team, retired from battling, or if the information is not applicable to the character.)
Final Notes
Like all of my other digital drawings, the bios will have my watermark on them. Now, will I also replace the gmod pictures from my Ask the SplatSquad deviation with the new ones? That, I'm unsure of yet. I'll get to that bridge soon enough. This is definitely a lot of work due to the sheer number of characters I have made overtime, so I'm taking my time on this. It also doesn't help I'm back at school now and this semester will be very busy, but work comes first. However, I'm definitely excited for this project.
