HI PEOPLES!

Well, hope you all had a good bank holiday weekend; we spent it up in the caravan (as per usual :XD: )

Stuff that's been happening recently; hmm....well, I'll start by elaborating on the title, since it sounds a little weird:

On Friday, I had a pretty bad day. I can't put my finger on specifically what it was, but I felt pretty crappy for most of the day. My second lesson was French (worst lesson ever). Now, our normal teacher (who isn't very nice and she's pretty scary) has recently disappeard off the face of the earth, and the teachers don't know what's happened to her, so we've been given a sub, who is awesome! He wasn't there on friday because he was working with A-Level students. So instead, we got the most vile, horrible, most terrifying teacher ever! I'm not joking when I say that as soon as the head of french went out of the room, she immediately started shouting at us about text books! So that sort of put me in a bad mood.

There were a couple of other things that happened too, but I can't really remember them since it was a while ago (and I'm over them anyway) but when we got home, my Mum was in a pissy mood because of not going up to the caravan that evening, so that wasn't nice either, and the day just generally seemed to move really slow!

Now, I suspect that the synical people out there are currently thinking 'if she's over it, then why is she ranting about it?'. Well, I'm trying to make a point that 'no matter how bad things may seem, there's always going to be something good right around the corner, and it's just a case of being patient'. And thie end of this week has been a pretty good example to proove my point.

Pugz, the director at HAM Japan, found a competition online to draw a character called Anna May, and she put it on the groups FB page. On offer as prizes were 2 softwares that were worth $50 each. I'm ready for a change from photoshop, so all of last week, I was working hard to pull out as many entries as I could for it. The deadline was Tuesday, and since then I've been waiting in anticipation for the results, which came out on Saturday. Realising that I wasn't going to be around to see them, I asked Niko to text the results to me as soon as thye were in. Then because we weren't going up to the caravan on Friday, I told her not to. But being the aweomse person she is, checked anyway on saturday morning. I woke up and told myself that i wasn't going to look until 2:00PM, but felt reaslly nosey and checked anyway on my iPod.

And there, pasted on my FB wall, was a message from Niko, saying 'YOU'RE A WINNER!' Turns out I came 3rd, and have won one of the two programs! :D One is an animation program called 'Anime Studio Debut' and one is a drawing program called 'Manga Studio Debut' (which is the one I have chosen) I'm hopefully going to be emailed my prize on Tuesday! So expect possibly some new drawing styles! :meow: I can't wait~ But the first drawing I'm going to be doing is a banner for HAM japan, since they were nice enough to tell us about it. Then a new ID picture for myself, the Manga Studio versino of Hong Kong night, and maybe some pictures for people who deserve them. This is the winning picture here: Anna May Double by lillilotus

To be honest, I'm glad I didn't come higher than 3rd, because that animation program would have been wasted on me, someone who has no interest or skills in animating! So, congrats to the two people who came above me; you both deserved it! :heart:

So if this doesn't proove the theory 'Bad days are swiftly followed by good days', nothing will; because friday was crappy, and then saturday graced me with  really good news! :heart:

However, Niko is leaving for study leave on friday, and I'm really sad about it! :'( But we're going to see the Pirates film on saturday, so that should be a ncie cheer-up~

I don't have much else to say about life right now, other than people should keep their heads up and stay happy, because things won't always be bad! ^_^ I'll levae you with something funny I read in the newspaper on Sunday;

Apparently, Justin Beiber, his security guard and his dad play this game where they knee each other in the vital regions as hard as they can! And all I could think was;

'is that why he sings so high?'

Peace Out and Ciao~ x :heart:
