However, this was the product of 3 solid evenings of work in a caravan. It's once again related back to a picture I did a year ago - the doll one. That picture got me into an awful lot of trouble when somebody didn't get into the picture. Learning from that, I once again spent a week thinking of who should go on the picture - and this one had potentially worse consequences if I didn't get it right. For example, let's say I put......Mario and Luigi into this picture (picking those two characters out of thin air as an example); if I drew Mario as the puppeteer and Luigi as the puppet, Luigi would complain at me for portraying him as the sidekick/underling/person who is easily manipulated, while Mario would complain at me for portraying him as being controlling and cruel. Those complaints would come from whoever I chose to take those two roles, and it's a no-win situation.
SO; to avoid the arguments altogether, I made Hamja, my beloved piggy OC, the marionette, and made the human......absolutely nobody! While designing the outfits for both roles, I gave the puppeteer the most generic hairstyle I could think of, then when drawing the picture up properly, chose a nicer hairstyle and made it bright blue! I don't know anyone with bright blue hair, so no one cam complain at me for portraying them wrong, and no one can complain about being left out of the picture because there are no real people in it! >
......you see? This is how much thought I have to put into pieces like this just so my friends don't complain at me about favouritism/neglect/details/the amount of pictures they're in etc. etc. I also have this rather horrible theory (which doesn't apply to everyone, as I've seen proof) that some people are only ever interested in pictures they star in. It does an awful lot of 'good' to my self-esteem to think that it may be true - but it's starting to become more noticeable. Hehe, just a little doll with strings, only ever there to draw people whenever they want, eh~?
Art copyright to me!
Hamja copyright to myself and
P.s. to the person whom I constantly whined 'It looks creepy~~!!!' - forgive me
i love the eyes as well, you are so talented!
Aww, thank you so much, Em! It was a lot of fun to design the outfits (even though I accidently left my design sheet somewhere when it got drawing it properly |D ) The eyes do creep me out, especially Hamja's, but I'm really glad you like them! Aww, thanks; you are aswell!
Thank you for all the faves too!
