It was the end of a busy work day. Cars zoomed by noisily along the road outside, their drivers trying to get home as fast as possible, and cursing at how crowded the roads had become with everyone else doing the same. Those who lacked the means or will to drive populated the sidewalks, most looking thoroughly drained from a hard day’s work as they trudged their way home. Beyond the sidewalks lay the buildings, some with people filing out the doors, while others saw them entering. Despite how the day was winding down, it was still an incredibly busy time in the heart of the city.
Amongst all the chaos, a man managed to leave the sidewalk, disappearing behind the glass doors of an apartment building, thankful that he worked close enough to the building to avoid the traffic outside. Briefcase clutched tightly in one hand, he let out a small sigh, breathing in the warm, heated air of the lobby. While it hadn’t been a particularly stressful day, it was Friday, and he was lookin
