There she goes perpetrating the myth that mermaids grant wishes.

In case you're confused, I'm referencing an old sketch on Robot Chicken where a guy catches a mermaid thinking they grant wishes, and the mermaid corrects him, telling it's genies that grant wishes. The man becomes distraught he thought he wasted his life and kills himself. The mermaid then turns to the camera, saying, "Plot twist. I'm actually a genie that just LOOKS like a mermaid."
