(This is a US-centric post because that's where I live, but these points apply to any place and time. TW for police brutality and racism.) Black lives matter. "All lives matter" is a disingenuous distraction tactic. It's as senseless as saying firefighters should spray water on every house, not just the one that's on fire, because "All houses matter." Stop saying it. "Blue lives matter" is a despicable sentiment. It's seeing black people say "Stop killing us" and responding by venerating their murderers. We say "Black lives matter" because of the disproportionate amount of violence and discrimination black people face. To say "Blue lives matter", at a time when violence against police is at an all-time low, is an insult to and a mockery of the struggles of black people. Cops need to stop using excessive force and killing civilians. Not just "innocent" civilians or "unarmed" civilians, all civilians. Cops killing civilians is them acting as judge, jury, and executioner, and

I am a writer of expansion-based fiction, in particular male WG stories.
