Secret Sorrow by liiga Secret Sorrow by liiga
I'm not spamming, honest!

This is for today's TAC in #digitalmedia, on the topic "Carnival".

Even the most delicate facade can hide depths of sorrow and woe.

Corel Painter 9, Wacom Intuos 3, 40 min 'cause I'm a nub and started late. :B

Quick edit: I'm taking the term "carnival" to mean the same as "masquerade" here. Figured I'd clear that one up (thanks, Jake!).

This secrect Sorrow seems to have somthing to it:

....skin-piercing blood-sucking moths (Noctuidae) feed exclusively on the blood of mammals
Calyptra (syn. Calpe) eustrigata (Asian vampire moth) was first reported to feed on blood by Banziger (1968, Bull Entomol Res 58: 159-163). This moth uses its mouthparts to pierce the skin and suck blood from a variety of mammals including humans. It occurs throughout southeast Asia (Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia).
Calyptra labilis (Thailand), Calyptra minuticornis (Thailand and northwest Malaysia), and Calyptra orthograpta (northern Thailand and northern Laos) have also been reported to feed on mammals (i.e. water buffalo, sambar, elephant, zebu, tapir) and, experimentally, humans (1979, Acta Tropica 36: 23-37).

Uh oh!

You make me mad. 40 minutes??? *sniff* It'd take me at least a day, I think. Then again, I'm out of painting mode.
Great, as usual. ^_____^

It's weird. With this eye right in the middle..

With the help of the title, you could think he's crying, but the drop comes from above..

And in the same time, this red drop keeps making me think of a lava lamp..Humm... ? ..

I like the fact that it looks like there are two points of gravity. One on the bottom (where we assume because its the bottom) and one on the top. Very interesting, and I like the fact that the butterfly poses as the mask. It gives it a feel of livelihood.
