Lifepod 5 - Day 12 - Log #7

"Alright, I've done some further exploring and there's a lot of stuff around here. I found another data germinal which suggests this place is an "Enforcement Platform" as well as some alien artifacts. Starting with the Enforcement Platform, it seems the material around me is an ultra-hard, non-reactive metal amalgam, made from offworld materials. Its powered by some seperate power plant located elsewhere on this planet, has an underwater moonpool and the control room is apparently down in the bottom. In terms of the artifacts, they included an alien rifle and a deactivated doomsday device powerful enough to destroy most of the solar system. When I got to the control terminal, it was some sort of power core with a button. When I pressed it, my hand was trapped and some eye thing stabbed my arm before retracting. The PDA detected a message saying that infected individuals may not disable the weapon as the planet is under quarantine. Not sure what kinda weapon this is but would've been nice if they could've gave us a message about the quarantine BEFORE we crashed here. I'm gonna head back outside and figure out what to do"
