The oceans bliss fills the air.
Tonight, I walk along the moonlit beach.
Ebbing waters are calm and refreshing;
Salt is strong in the air.
I can taste it as I breathe.
Gentle as a painters brush stroke,
The ocean water sways over my feet.
The bare skin tingles and is re-energized.
I step back to see the prints I have made.
They are not perfect, but they are magnificent.
Softly the breeze pushes against
My face and the salty waters.
It is all so peaceful.
Suddenly, the water rises once more
Like a terrible, dark dragon.
As soon as it disappears, I look down.
My eyes meet only the sand.
The footprints I have left behind are gone.
Forever more erased.
