Dreamtalia-A Father’s Love
France looked back at the remains of the toy factory that the Fauchereve burned down in hopes to try to kill them but failed. He even looked at the now grieving Finland who just had the harsh truth shown to him before both faded from his view as he tried to catch up with the others.
Such a simple happy dream broken by that monster. It got him to immediately think about that it was doing to Canada, his former colony…his son.
He looked to England and America…were they worried about him as well? He had a feeling they were for England did raise the young Nation next, giving him his independence when he asked nicely, and America is his twin brother, despite overshadowing him and making him seem invisible to the world, deep inside France could tell they were still close. He seen them after meetings, getting together, talking, going for a drink, like good brothers.
As they went across the frozen plains to the icy lake, he couldn’t help but feel all of this snow and ice were probably the darker feelings that Canada harboured inside for God knows how long, keeping them inside so he wouldn’t harm those he loved and cherished. He didn’t know how he knew…he just did, knowing that this Temperance was most likely Canada, also put under the spell of the Fauchereve’s dark influence.
His thoughts were interrupted when he heard America break the ice and hear that Temperance’s kingdom was found! France’s heart swelled in hope that they were getting closer, not knowing that China fell through the ice in a different spot. But at that moment, he didn’t care; they were getting closer and he could feel it.
No doubt England and America felt the same, despite almost falling to their deaths getting a key to open the doors, despite facing numerous enchanted furniture and décor, and despite a very…awkward moment with Germany with the “Lolita” dresses as Japan put it, they were getting closer. The signs were there; the food, what the fairy said, the clothes, all of it!
The biggest clue they got, much to his surprise, was the paintings…he knew that story too well…It was Canada’s story, how he felt invisible to his family (France could make out his own image easily) and yet still cherished his brother. If only they knew what the last painting was! But the real shocker was the suits of armour that came to life! Why would Canada let this happen?! How tight is the Fauchereve’s dark grip on the boy to even leave these guardians to hurt his family!?
These thoughts only filled him with anger and desire; anger at the beast that’s causing this mess, and desire to save his dear son. That alone gave him the strength to help trash the guardians and pass through the doors.
Such a fine room! It was certainly fit for a king! But why? What was so important for this small room to be so well guarded? Of course that answer was, once again, found by that clumsy America as he broke through the throne and what sounded like him falling down stairs after some time searching. That and Russia moving the throne to reveal a secret passageway.
As they went through, only one thought came into France’s mind:
“Hold on mon petit Canada, we will save you!”
