I remember a time in which I got pissed whenever a film adaptation of a book I liked didn't follow the source closely enough.
Tonight's episode of Game of Thrones deviated pretty much from the books. And I'm quite enjoying getting to feel what I felt when I started watching the show. And what I felt when reading farther than the point HBO had reached.
Not knowing what the fuck is going to happen.

When I first saw the Lord of the Rings, more than ten years ago. It blew my mind. I had read the book, but everything looked so much better than I imagined. The places, action scenes, emotional scenes. And the creatures! Wow!
Yesterday I saw the first Hobbit movie for a second time. I'm loving to get back to Peter Jackson's Middle Earth. It's the same place but this time around it feels even more real and palpable. Effects in the LotR Trilogy are amazing, but things really improve after ten years. I really fell like I was in Rivendell.
The story will never be as powerful in this trilogy, but who cares!
