Martin was still sitting in the Great Hall, reading any and all books he had found from the library about daedric artifacts, when Elenezer woke up the next morning and passed through the main room on her way to breakfast. He was absolutely haggard looking, dark shadows under his eyes. Elenezer had not seen him in such a miserable state since their first meeting at the camp below Kvatch.
"What's wrong, Martin?" she asked as he stood up to come and meet her. There was no need for her to ask if he had gotten any sleep during the night.
"Last night I deciphered part of the ritual needed to open a portal to Camoran's Paradise," Martin replied, sighing.
"Shouldn't that be a good bit of news?" Elenezer asked carefully, knowing that there was something Martin didn't want to tell her. "What did you find out?"
