Haha ironically, like most of my more elaborate pieces, this started as a silly little pose sketch that I happened to take a liking to, and got curious enough to flesh it out. It's so interesting how sometimes when I really try to start some big fancy painting, it usually ends up never going right and/or getting scrapped. But I had absolutely no clue what this was gonna be or how it was gonna turn out when I started it xD I let myself go to the freedom of simple exploration, and low and behold, I got to the finish line!! Boy it's fun to just see where your art takes you and not bog yourself down with pre-conceived expectations ~

I guess in that regard, we can often clip our own wings, without really knowing. It's important not to limit what you're capable of or put yourself in a box with set standards. Just enjoy the flight :>
