No AI

sooo, i am going to join the club of No AI Use in Art peeps.

generally, i don't thinks it's a bad thing. people who can't draw like others should have a chance to let their creativity roam free. some AI art looks amaaazing!!! and those ideas are fantastucal...

BUT

they need to tag their work approrpriately because otherwise it's stealing! you don't take other people's work from a museum, so why from an art platform?!?! is our art less important than a van gogh or picasso? i think not! we also put effort and love into it. So, RESPECT IT.

ALSO

AI usage is NOT referencing. if you use references, then you still create your own work in your own style. that is different too, and i think not a bad thing. we all need references once in a while since WE ARE NOT PERFECT. so long as you admit to it, there is no harm done.

overall, it's a heated debate but a valid one. AI has taken up a lot of space lately and people use it without thought. THINK before posting your work publically, ASK yourself if you would want your art taken without being asked and then used in some weird formatted way to make it look like what another person needs. BE HONEST about it, because really, nobody will kill you for taking their art as a basis. no, that would be stupid.

art is for sharing and making people happy. :)
